OPEN ME!: It was a beautifully cool weekend and I got to relax and have a cozy time at home, either reading on the couch or writing on the balcony. I also started the weekend by making a quick trip to pick up a couple candles from Candle Chemistry and I'm so excited for the new scents. There's lots of cozy reading and writing in this vlog, plus some project updates and the title reveal of my book with Tamzin. I hope you enjoy! :) xx

Yay! For the book announcement :D The first thing that popped into my head about what the world needs mire if is equity, it's not like it would solve all problems but I think it'd be a good starting point for making things more workable in almost all areas and generally improving conditions across the board. (From the likes of that story at the end and just ya'know exsisting in the world, it feels like we could use less men sometimes though). Men trying to devalue your accomplishments should be given no mind, especially men like the one you mentioned who sounds like he's spent far too much time in corners of the internet where that weird shitposting is appreciated and taken as intelligence. (Outside of the real hateful areas of twitter that smug, snarky, nihilistic area has to be my least favorite- they're just so bloody awful/ unthoughtful about who it might be hurting.) Anyways, more consideration, kindness, whatever that package is would always be good, until then I'm enjoying consciously spending more time on places on the internet men frequent less😘xxx

The world definitely needs more equity. That would make a big difference in starting to solve a lot of other problems.

My answer to the vlog question on what the world needs more....respect. I don't just mean respect for others (though that is part of it) but also respect for ourselves. Can you imagine what self-confidence levels would be like if we each respected ourselves enough to not constantly be coming down so hard on ourselves all the time? Respect for others is also huge though too. Respect that others can have opinions different than your own, respect for others choices, etc.

I like that answer a lot. I hear so many people talk about themselves in ways they would never talk to someone they cared about. We respect other people's feelings but we don't respect our own and it's sad.

I love the title "More than Fate" and it is lovely to be able to refer to a book project by its title! That question of the day... I don't even know where to start though the two things that came to mind right away were kindness and justice. So I guess that's what my brain answered! I agree with what you say about how just ignoring stuff on the internet when you don't actually know people or just stop following is a good course of action. I used to feel self conscious for unfollowing people (even when it was big audience individuals) but now if I feel uncomfortable or really disagreeing with what they share, I just hit the unfollow button!

I think justice is a good one, the world definitely needs more of that for sure. And yes, it's so easy to just unfollow. You don't owe anyone a follow and if they're content isn't aligned with your beliefs you don't have to keep following them.
