I’ve been wearing this in rotation for a couple months now and love it. It feels and looks great. Can’t beat it for the price! I’m actually now interested in some other FC timepieces because of this one.

Would love to see more Frederique Constant in the future, this particular one is not for me but the value is really good! Great work.

under $5000. this watch seems like a steal

Normally world timers are so busy they give me a seizure but this face (as busy as it is), I actually like. The use of the blue with the grey is very well done here and doesn’t assault my senses. Waaay out of my price range but lovely to look at. Very good review Teddy.

Yes, sir! Diggin FC. Good name built in a short period of time. That world timer, if I needed one would probably be on my list. Busy dial but sexy nonetheless, especially the blue reference you displayed here the most. Keep in keepin on, mang. Great vids.

Great review. Totally agree. Looks amazing and I like FC. Drawing off the classic designs at a reasonable price point. I would buy this in a heart beat if I didn't already have the Longines Master collection world time. Another option to consider if you want a cleaner dial and available in a 38mm.

My Glycine Airman 3 GMT is making up for travelling the world pretty well. As for Frederique Constant I was looking at a really simple classic index automatic dress watch for under 1K. But first I have more important watches to get my hands on.

Have been looking for a world time and this has been on my short list for a while.

I have this exact watch and really enjoy it. It gets frequent wrist time during the month when fly international. Only thing I don't like is the date register blocks some of time zones I happen to refer to. The should have made the date a window. Another thing is the lume is not that bright, which means flying at Nigh in your airplane seat, you might have to turn on your overseat lamp to read your dial.

That dial is drop dead gorgeous.

Love this watch. Just got it from my wife for our anniversary. Question: there's something odd with timezones. Example in July (daylight savings time) 10am in Los Angeles reads as 8am in Hawaii. Another example: Rio de Janeiro is also off by an hour. But lots of other timezones are correct (e.g. London, New York). This is making me a little nuts. Ideas? Thanks

You should look into the Mido Multifort GMT. I would argue it competes very directly with the Frederique Constant, in a more compact form and for less than half the cost. The big difference is that the Mido isn't an in house movement, as the Mido 1193 movement is based on the ETA 2893-2

Nice Review. At first glance, this face is busy. However, consider it an instrument panel for telling world times. I found that the first time you adjust the dial on this FC, it all makes sense and you realize it is a very simple world timer that can be read quickly.

I couldn't get how we set the time. When I turn the crown, numbers also turn.

Hi. I like this video and this beautiful watch. Do You know about precision of this movement FC-718? ÷ sek ? Does FC movements have a COSC certificate ? Or METAS? IMHO precision is the most important thing in watches.

How does it handle daylight savings time ? For example the US switches to daylight savings time 2 weeks before Europe. So during those weeks the time difference between the US and Europe is different.

Went out and added this FC world timer and the FC perpetual calendar watch at same time to my collection. I received excellent pricing These are excellent values and Montblanc should be shopped when comparing. I shopped this FC world timer to Montblanc Orbis. While I liked the dial work on the Orbis, I found out the Orbis was chintzing out on the movement by using a lightly decorated off the shelf selita movement that was not appropriate for an MSRP of nearly 7K. The FC uses an in-house engineered and produced movement and was several thousand dollars lower price point. Also the FC just had a more upscale and richer design finish than the Montblanc. And for those watch snobs, No I did not shop FC with Vacheron or Pateks world timer because I have more urgent priorities where I would put $200,000 into and it's not a watch.

Dial looks great but busy, for me it’s a bit big for me also. I feel like the time is hard to read, the markers get lost in the dial. Also why does the minute hand extend so far beyond the markers.....

I believe Ball also had a worldtimer under US$5K as well.

Teddy this watch looks very similar to the Patek world timer at a fraction of the cost. I guess that’s why most watch people criticize FC because they feel that they copy other designs. I disagree and love FC! Thanks for another great review!

Ok, not sure I understand the concept. I have a GMT watch which can always give me 2 time zones (home time via 24h display, local via 12h). And based on my understanding of the Skydweller, that would be the same for that watch too, right? But here... this worldtimer shows the time for all time zones at the same moment, but the 12h-time and the 24h-time are always the same for the local time (which ever I would select)? So if 12h-dial tells me it’s 10 a.m., I will have 10 at the top on my 24h-dial as well?

The movement seems unfinished, since there is a lot of space above the balance, as if FC plans on adding functions.

An attractive wristwatch. Can you imagine how much better the world time representation would be without the huge date dial obliterating 4 of them. Must be placed in the "What were they thinking file".

Nice review Teddy! Having owned an FC, I can confirm that they offer a level of quality and consistency, at a price that should put other Swiss manufactures to shame. In future, please show us a lume shot where appropriate. In this case it would have been a bonus. Obviously, not something an AD would help with. I already get enough strange looks from AD’s. 😂

I’ve got this watch. The accuracy isn’t great (off by about 12 seconds a day), but the complication is amazing and the price point is right.

There's a citizen outlet near me, and they routinely run 50-65% off all frederique constants. Literally held this watch yesterday and they wanted like $2100 for it.

The thing is TJ Maxx have started selling Frederique Constant, next to all the fashion watches. Kinda takes away a little something from the brand.
