A Cop Family Toasts an Engagement - SNL 

My grandfather was a homicide detective for the Chicago Police Department and I watched my parent's wedding video and his toast was exactly like this.

Bit of trivia: This was the last episode of Hader, Sudeikis and Armisen and about 10 minutes before the shows end. Bill had only just been crying minutes earlier because he had just made his last appearance as Stefon with Seth. He said he was genuinely trying not to cry during this and going by how emotional all the cast were during the goodnights for that episode, I would say he wasn't alone. It was really the end of an era.

The suddenly calm and composed folding of the paper should have got a much bigger laugh! "Aghughughughh! *quietly folds paper* "

"Being...a... cop... means... you... can't ... get... scared"!!! Lol. Taran and Jason had me dying... "Why am i laughing huh" lol

"Being a cop sounds hard." "He's a meter maid."

I love how Shauna (male) couldn't even say anything despite not even being related to Shauna (female)

but having a DAUGHTER

36 year retired Cop- this is the first time I've seen this, and it reminded me of my daughter's wedding. The two most emotional days of my life. I cried walking her down the aisle at the rehearsal, balled through the wedding, and also at the reception. Thank goodness I like the guy she married or I'd still be crying 18 years later.

My husband comes from a very big family full of cops (uncles, grandpa, cousins...etc.) and holy crap this is pretty much what they're like lol I remember we went to a funeral and every freaking speech was like this and they all had matching mustaches

This was amazing. Taran went to another level. Hader was downright authentic. Aflleck grunts, legit. Armisen, always on time. Sudeikas, underrated and wished he was still there. This was truly an special era.

EDIT I know that I should and I will, it's just it's been years and I get so emotional ....hmamamamam... nope can't do it. Fun Facts: - didn't mean to be taken as a real cop when I posted the first comment - I'm a dad, I felt like making a dry dad joke - am not sporting a mustache - actually, I am a Police officer of now 8 years of duty but in a non-English speaking country, not a native English speaker also..lols - love u all, even the assholes .......kisses

This is the Funniest sketch I think I have ever seen.

The last speech reminded me of my own wedding 20 years ago. One of the aunts of my wife wanted to some wise words especially for me. I didn't understand a word - not of her being emotional, but because of the wine we served at the dinner...

Much respect to all of you in this sketch, as I seem to come back to watch this one a bunch. It’s comedic gold to me. Much respect to everyone for sure, but extra special shout to Mr. Ben Affleck, a great guest who’s always great in films. All of you nailed this skit. Thank you for excellent stuff like this

Sketches of this episode were so emotional, it was the final episode of Bill Hader, Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis. I remember watching this episode for the first time, I being so emotional with each passing minute. I miss them a lot

I can't believe it's been two weeks since I've seen a sketch with Bill Hader in it so I physically gasped when I saw him

"Bad boys bad boys what you gonna do, what you gonna do when we come for you" Is the most heart touching moment of the whole sketch. I instantly got melted.

The consistent mustaches are easily the best part.

Pretty accurate, having a daughter can melt even the hardest heart. You can kick criminals ass the entire day, but when you got home and see your daughter, you turn into the most silly adult in the world

Grandpa's speech really hit me in thee Ol'LoveBox ( heart ) and THENNNNN when all the MEN started singing their Family Song , I had to pause the video to grab a tissue ..... This Skit summed up in one word is : *BEAUTIFUL !*
