I’m not Australian, but when I was on Manly Beach back in 2008, some Aussies… much more “fluffy” than I was at 6’ 2”, 240# were saying the same things about me. It was my wife, me vs. 5 A’Holes teasing us when they were way, WAY fatter than we were. BUT… there was more of them than us. That and other experiences we had made me swear I’ll NEVER go to Australia or New Zealand in this lifetime unless I get paid a whole bunch of (American) dollars to do so.
@@enigmawyoming5201 … It sounds to me like you encountered some “over-privileged locals” & by that I mean those who take offence at anyone visiting the beach (it’s wide open to the public) who DOESN’T live within 50-100 yards of the beach. They’re everywhere & VERY easy to spot & very easy to “shoot down” 😈😈😈. By your description, it sounds like you met some local “sides of beef” (the local herd) who should’ve been getting dragged into the water by GreenPeace & whose butts would’ve caused a lunar eclipse in 3 states if they bent over. We’re not all like that but I hope that 1 bad experience doesn’t put you off from simply considering a return trip. I’m guessing they were probably intoxicated as well. Take care, stay safe & all the best to you & your family for the coming festive season ✌️🎅🏻🎄
@@gerardroll6468 I’m sure you are correct. I met plenty of good Aussies… but because I was not familiar with going into the back country, I got into a pickle because I could not fill a jerry can with petro and had to pay a guy to siphon gas out of my vehicle to fill the can so I could get to my next stop. One of many examples…. Gas huffing locals almost made me get stranded. BUT…. I’m just in a bad mood today. Catch me tomorrow and I’ll give tons of accolades about your area. I even met Manu! My wife thinks he is so better looking than Pete Evans. And I almost cried when I heard about Jock Zonfrillo passing away at his ripe age.
@@enigmawyoming5201 … I’ve also met Manu (quite by accident) as we literally ran into each other at an event in Sydney involving the My Kitchen Rules team. We momentarily collided & I began to apologise profusely & he was cool about it. Pete Evans on the other hand is the complete opposite. The looks & attitude I got from him were unforgivable. I went to “mouth off” at him (curse him out) but my girlfriend at the time (who’s now my wife) & Manu himself held me back & calmed me down. Yes, it was sad hearing that Jock passed away as we enjoy watching the cooking shows here like My Kitchen Rules & of course, Master Chef. I’m reasonably good in the kitchen & get a lot of ideas from watching those shows on how to improve my skills 👨🍳👨🍳👨🍳
If there was ever a vote to make Fluffy a United Nations ambassador, I'm 100% for it! This man can see humanity with all the differences and make us laugh at ourselves. Now, that's pure comedic genius! 🙌🙌👍👍
Secret to global peace is accepting everyone is different, but that stuff just gives flavour to humanity. The moment we go and box up everything and compare. At that point, peace becomes an afterthought. This wisdom explains everything that's going bad in the world today. 😉
I'm half Australian, half German (dads German, mom's Australian) they were so accurate! My dad always looks so angry and offended but whenever he laughs it's "heeeejajajaja" and he snorts it's hilarious☺️ Like a seagull...
Oddly enough saw Fluffy in Sydney a couple of weeks ago at his show. It was so awesome the serious security guards around stage were cracking up. Loved how you catered it to us Australians as well and hope you release the show in full in the future (loved your new jokes as well!!)
@@AlbertoGonzalez-sz5qt Mountain - ski resort Sheregesh. At the moment thickness of snow close to two meters) bears are sleeping)) I burn wood and coal to keep house warm)))
I agree! His India, Saudi Arabia skits are golden. I’ve watched those numerous times, but I have never seen the Nintendo and arcade games piece. Is that on RU-vid? If so… post the link please!?!?!!!
Fluffy is very observant of people & their cultures. That's why his stints are always interesting & funny. The "funny" being his own improvisation of what he has observed.
Fluffy is so good at describing events and situations he has been in, so even his travel experience is so compelling that even I, who find it less and less desirable to travel as years go by, feel like he motivates me to go travelling some of the places he has seen.
I wish more comedians today were like Gabriel - pure comedy, funny, non political and no woke garbage. I stopped watching many comedians because they are so scared about offending someone. Thank you, Mr. Iglesias!
It's sad the man isn't with us anymore but if you want some great comedy check Robin Williams special Weapons of Self Destruction. Eddie Murphy delirious Eddie Murphy raw, Martin Lawrence Runtildat and the greatest of all anytime from George Carlin. Carlin has a bit he does all about what if the prisons all unlocked that's a total gem.
I have only started seeing this guy within about the last 4 months. I was born in Compton (1958), but I have lived in Mexico for 43 years, Archaeologist for the Mexican government. It wasn't my choice, but I have a PhD, and when you are as bilingual as I am, this guy is DAMN funny!! This is not to toot my own horn, but when you get it, you get it! I wish that your comedy was as hysterical for me as it could be for the rest of the world if they only spoke more languages and tried to get a grasp of more cultures. God bless you!!
Don't worry, there are people from other countries, who also know other languages and cultures. I'm from Poland and I use English language for a bit over 30 years. And as much as I don't like Polish standup, because it is still mostly political humour, I love American, because it's mostly about life. My first standup comedy I have seen it was a "Blue collar comedy tour". The worst for me to understand was Larry the Cable Guy 🤣 But with subtitles, watching him a few times I finally picked up his accent and I was fully able to appreciate his shows.
@@ogi22I guess I should have been a little more clear regarding the “people” I was talking about. I meant Caucasian Americans. Naturally some people learned in school like I did, but the vast majority speak only English and have no desire to speak another language. I just think it is such a shame, because you really miss out on meeting so many people and finding out so many new things about the world when you are monolingual. I have friends from Belgium, Holland, Japan, Singapore, Philippines, etc. Every single one of them speaks a minimum of two languages, some of them speak up to six. I am in awe of those people! Europe and many places around the world are so good about making sure they are multilingual. It always helps if a country is somewhat small and is bordered by countries that speak other languages. One set of my great grandparents immigrated to the US from Luxembourg around 1900. My grandfather did understand them, but they were shamed by others in the US for not speaking English at that time. It got so that if they spoke German at all, it was only at home… basically to each other and not really to the kids. Therefore, by the time even my father was born, he learned no German except when he learned some in the war. By my generation, we only used maybe six words or phrases in German. It is such a shame to have those gifts die out in a family 😢. It is very interesting to me what you say about Polish stand up! Another comedy I learned to love when I was a teenager was British humor. The first time I ever saw Monty Python, I could not stand it and I did not see what was funny about it. Little by little, I figured it out and now I think that kind of thing is hysterical. Absolutely Fabulous and programs like that just crack me up now! Cheers to you, and thank you for replying to me. It is always so interesting to hear things from other people’s perspective 🎉.
Sorry dude, you are not a DAVE! I know how true Dave’s write there name. Hint I’m a true Dave and we don’t ever never write it a David. Turn your Dave card in.
That's a cool story about that Aussie. That's an incredible gift because you not only got that knife made by that guy, but you got the story to tell about it. That was a cool dude and you got something from him that would probably be one of the last things I ever let go. That thing was from the heart. Really cool.
I cannot begin to explain the depth of my admiration for you, Mr. Iglesias. I have been a fan for years, and I have been lucky enough to see you in person at your venues when you are in our city. You make me laugh. You make me cry (in a good way). You have made me feel validated as a fluffy woman. I'm so grateful for the laughs and humor you have brought to me over the last 25 years. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! ❤❤❤
@@VoiceDeeJaywasn’t it because US policy changed prohibiting Coca Cola from being sold in Germany? It’s literally Coca Cola’s workaround for war time foreign policy?
I don’t come from money but in high school I was good buddies with this dude who was an only child and he would take friends with him sometimes on family trips. Had the opportunity to stay with his family for a week in a house in the Bahamas if my family and I could just get the ticket for me over there. Learned so much. People were so loving and giving but lived in conditions we would call shambles here in the States. Opened my eyes on how to treat people. Travel while you’re young, it’ll help shape how you view people and treat people immensely. And give you a huge appreciation even for the smallest of things in life in the States.
Some of my favorite presentations from Fluffy! I never get tired of watching him, even if I have already seen them numerous times. Like hearing Stairway to Heaven on the radio again … or again and again.
I'm an Anzac middle name David. Now I know why I fit in so well. Thanks mate. The knife gift was a big honour. You're manager very smart. Nailed the Aussie pretty well too Bundy Man!!
No matter how many times i see this, it cracks the hell out of me every single time😂😂😂👍👍👍 that's how you know the comedian is top notch, but Fluffy is the king 👑👑
You are in for a treat if you do. I saw him while I was stationed in Iraq. He opened for Chris Daughtry, Who also did an incredible rendition of Elton John's Rocketman. A stand up comedian opening for a rock band is a bit odd. But it was a great time nontheless.
I very highly doubt you'll ever see this, but thank you so much for creating such hilarious, uplifting, and just straight up hilarious comedy for us. I've been dealing with a lot of mental health problems lately, and no matter how down I feel about whatever, you my good sir are one of the very very VERY few people who can pull a laugh out of me. Not only that, but I can even share your comedy with just about anyone without worrying about it putting anyone off for being too much. Again, thank you so much, Gabriel Iglesias. You are super awesome!
Laughter is good medicine. I read your note. I want you to know you are built to heal. The best fight against depression, is gratitude say out loud how grateful you are for everything you are built to be amazing
Was so effing happy to see you on Friday in Adelaide. Bought tickets for my Aunty and sister as well. I only just introduced your talents to them 6 months ago. You had us in hysterics. I can t remember ever crying with laughter. COME BACK TO AUSTRALIA SOON.
You are the best Fluffy. My grandson told me how he first saw you... he was at your performance at UCMerced while he was a student there. I want to thank you for all those at Merced. It is such a pleasure to watch you being funny...and a clean funny. Thank you, and God bless you 🙏🥰
Stand up is a great way to bring people together. You can air your grievances and show people what it's like from your side in a way that is very socially acceptable.
Thank you for this Gabriel. You are truly one of the greatest comics alive. Its true talent when you dont have to use shock value, vulgarity or constant swearing. To me, it gets in the way of real humor. Thank you for the time effort and energy you give to so many! ♥️ From Texas!
Thank you Gabriel for saying that when you went to India you seem from the beauty to the not so beauty and went you return home you appreciate more our country I pray many others like you and me value what we had and no take for granted 🙏
🤣 Greetings from Germany! I have a joke that you might want to use for practicing. Ship: SOS, SOS, help! We are sinking! Reply: Ssis iss German coasst guard. What are you ssinking about?
Dude, you are a legend. Who crosses multiple generations and a plethora of different backgrounds and countries. We love you dude you are one of the greats.
Your amazing fluffy I really want to see you someday 🥹❤️ been watching ur shows on Netflix and here for about 2 weeks now but I love how funny and relatable your jokes can be sometimes 😅
Man where’s the comedy like this these days?? This is funny stuff without crudeness, or f bombs every minute. True I haven’t seen a ton of his stuff but this whole set was just plain funny .
27:22. Lol.. it reminds me of Robbert Williams, who said to a German fan, when he asked, why aren't there any funny German people, and he answered. Because maybe you guys killed them all.
