Feel free to Join Merphy Napier from @merphynapierreviews and myself, this Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, at 8:00pm CST/9:00pm EST, for our first live stream chat for our new book club, "Opposites Attract"! Merphy and I tend to have VERY different taste in books 😂, and on the 1st of each month, Merphy and I will discuss books, via live stream, that one of us loves, and that the other one...probably doesn't love haha. This month's book club pick will be my pick, and the live stream will be hosted on my channel! The book we will be chatting about is "A Court of Mist and Fury", which is the second book in the incredible ACOTAR series! Feel free to join us as we discuss this book, and I explain to Merphy why this series is a piece of perfection!

I haven’t read any of these books because of the explicit content but I felt like I was missing out, now that I see this I’m unbothered that I can’t read it. So thank you, I can finish Mistborn in peace lol

I have to agree with Merphy. I don't understand how these enslavers and abusers are seen as good guys or romantic interests. They do even less than the bare minimum.

Merphy who understands the book. And SJM fans who literally look away if any abuse happens… and Tamtrum who changed his behavior in the book because…. Just because. 😂 and of course our main character who has no agency or treats and annoying… of course a 500 years old will fall for her….who is also forcing her.. It’s always fun to watch when Merph founds a book like this. 😂

Tamlin is an abuser. Feyre was right to leave him. Need to get that out of the way. But as far as him sending people out to bring Feyre back... For 500 years Rhys has cultivated an image of running a cruel and torturous court and his special power is the ability to wipe and rewrite minds. He cultivates a cold and hard image for everyone outside of Velaris. He made himself Amarantha's puppet, carrying out her bidding, wiping minds, allegedly spike Fey heads outside of palaces. Whatever Rhys' reasons are (that he hasnt shared with the wider world), even if we didnt have crazy Tamtam, I think anyone would be incredibly doubtful and suspicious about getting a letter from their illiterate former partner saying everything's cool with the apparently cruel mind manipulating torture lord.
