This is entirely on Tampon, you can't force someone to say that back if they don't truely feel it. It's one red flag I see with Maas's writing that younger readers shouldn't take too seriously. Just because they had s*x, is not always a guarantee for true feelings. Even if she had said it back, she had to truely mean it for the curse to break. Also, Feyre is 19 and most teenagers/young adult can't fathom what real feelings are, it is unfair to put it all on her. I didn't like how Alis basically blamed her for it either. "Stupid, stupid girl." Tamlin was the one who knew everything about the curse, yet (in my opinion) hardly tried to get into her heart, other than buying her gifts and sleeping with her. (Gift-bombing and/or spoiling the family) Let's also not forget allowing her to get high/drunk off faerie wine and even before that (kind of consensual) dry humped her. Just kind of gives me the ick.
Technically he was not in control during the bonfire rite, and he apologized. He also truly loved her because he let her go, even though he had three days left. Edit: take back what I said I read the second book, tampons sucks he should die. He's abusive he is evil he's manipulative and uses her. I'm ashamed of myself forever for trying to justify his actions I will go back in the future to look back at this comment and cringe at my complete stupidness and foolery. ISincerely apologize to everyone, whoever has read my comment, responded I apologize for making you read such poison.
Also this revelation implies he was willingly sending out ppl from his court to sacrifice themselves for a human woman to kill so that they can lift the curse??
I feel sorry for Tamlin honestly, he had no other choice, I'm not sure if he truly loved Feyre or not but it's obvious that he regrets all of this, otherwise he wouldn't send her back home.
@@RuizifYouPleaseif he didn't love her, why did he send her home? Why didn't he try harder to get her to say she loved him? By sending her home, he showed that he loved and cared for protecting her more than his entire Court. He didn't want her to be tortured by Amarantha, so he gave up the chance of Feyre breaking the curse and sent her home.
Okay it’s is only me. But how old is amaranth compared to tamlin bc if he was a kid in the war and she was an adult. It’s just more weird 😅 even if they are immortal or whatever I don’t like it 😅
They were going willingly, as she explains while telling Feyre the story. Because the whole court knew that if they didn't find this girl, the whole Spring Court would be taken over by Amarantha, not just Tamlin. So, as warriors of the court and also out of dedication to their High Lord, they volunteered their lives, as they would also do so on the battlefield if needed. At some point, Tamlin was too sick of them seemingly wasting their lives, so he refused to permit them to go. But seeing the deadline draw nearer and knowing what that meant for both him and his court, he allowed them to go again (and so Feyre was found). Tamlin himself had to fight various monsters to protect his Court while Feyre was away. If Amarantha took him under the mountain, who would be there to fight these monsters? The Spring Court would be helpless. So, in sacrificing themselves "for Tamlin," the warriors were protecting all of the Spring Court. And likewise Tamlin was not sending them out only for his own sake.
Tamlin didn't lie ; he was under a spell where he couldn't share the truth. So he found a loophole to be able to explain as much as possible to Feyre (like referring the Amarantha as "the blight"). But he could not say the truth due to Amarantha's curse.
It would make more sense if she didnt say i love you due to her being suspicious of tamlins true motive. It doesnt make sense that she killed one of his few soldiers and just invited her to be his princess, i think the spell is so specific to the exact events that she jsut worte it to match the narrative.
I think that it shows the underlying "consciousness" of the world. The magic or world itself wanted the curse to be broken, so it opened the possibility. They often say blessings around the Cauldron as we would speak of God, having some power and will over their lives. So we could say that the couldron made the seeming impossible situation actually happen. At the same time, of course, everything IS written by Mass to work out as it does. 😂@codypendency9482
