“Maybe he was surprised that she was putting family ahead of financial security, but in her experience, strong family meant financial security.” This was a lovely read. Ezra stepping up as matchmaker and gave or mains a forced proximity romance through the workplace setting. This slow burn Christian romance was great and chock full of lesson (as always). I loved the theme of having self control with your actions. It’s so important and one that I’ve struggled with in life. That temper just seems to flare to life at times. I love how this book illustrates that it’s never too late to work harder and to do better, to train yourself in a different direction. It was a good reminder to continue to fight the fight to tame my tongue (that’s actually written on an index card and has been stuck on my wall for over a year now at least). This book tackled some hard issues: divorce, alcoholism, bullying, Alzheimer’s, and more. I loved getting some side character views and can’t wait to see what continues to happen all over town as the series progress.
I always love reading your thoughts - so good. (And I'm always amazed that you hit every release day, even with the littles. Thank you so much for making that effort!)
Another winner. Jay’s narration is great and easy to listen to. The author teaches us in Christian living without preaching. At the same time she gives us a great story. Phoebe helped raise her siblings after her parents died. Tillman has been through a rough divorce where he lost custody of his children. This is the story of healing and perseverance.
Bless you for putting audiobooks on You Tube. I have Alzheimer’s AND Parkinson’s Disease. Being Christian series it really encourages me as a Christian. They help me stay positive listening how problems are handled in a positive way. You are a blessing for me. I listen Only to your books over and over again. I even go to sleep listening to your audiobooks. Many thanks always!
Wow, I'm so glad our audios are a blessing and encouragement to you! (And my daughter goes to sleep listening to Jay as well. He has the perfect voice.) Thanks so much for your kind words.
Another amazingly wonderful book by Jessie Gussman and narrratedby Jay Dyess. Jessie continues to bring readers inspiring stories and this one is no exception. Thank you, Jay, for another marvelous audio book presentation.
Sweet, clean romance at it's finest. It will leave a smile on your face, a warmth in your heart and a lingering thought of one of the pearls of biblical wisdom gleaned from the story. And of course Jay's performance is wonderful.
Once again Jessie has written a wonderful story. It is full of faith, the importance of family being the most important. I was so happy to see Phoebe, who helped raise her siblings, find her happy ever after with a strong good man. Jay really brings the story to life and makes it seem so real. Thanks so much!
Jessie with each book write you continue to amaze me, your writing is so real and beautiful woven to reflect God. I think I grew with this book. Jay you did a fantastic job again!
Another wonderful story RICH with inspiring life choices. I really look forward to each episode. The wonderful story is only enhanced by Jay’s oh so natural narration. And their willingness to share these stories free of charge to us is a great gift.
Thank you for another beautiful book❤ Please let me know which book/series would continue their stories, as you only went through about half of the siblings.😊
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Esperanza! These books are actually all of the Clyborne family stories so far - Jessie does have a seventh book planned, and I believe the target release date is in March of next year. I'd certainly love to read more, too!
I have listened to this series twice so far. I just love it. I am waiting on pins and needles for book seven. Jay is my favorite narrator and Jessie is unbelievably talented. Thank you both.
This story was very inspiring to me. I know people going through custody battles where the wife has a drinking problem. Tillman handled it with Grace. This was another wonderful book. Thanks Jay!
My review: Another wonderfully inspiring story from Jessie Gussman. I loved Tillman and Phoebe’s story. There are many special moments in this story, some are hilarious and some are definitely heartbreaking. I love the Clyborne family’s belief that dating is not the best way to get to know someone. I can’t wait for the next book in the Sweet View Ranch series.
I liked this book because the characters are people I would like to be around, and the romance between Phoebe and Tillman is heartwarming. Phoebe has always put others first with no regards to getting anything in return. When Tillman moves to the Clyborne ranch to be the foreman and help get a rodeo event started to bring in more money to save the ranch, Phoebe is assigned to work with him. The long hours they spend working together solidifies their relationship. I highly recommend this book as a clean Christian romance. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review. The audiobook narrated by Jay Dyess really brings out the best in this book so be sure to listen to it also.
Loved this story! Love the strong Christian faith that is a staple in your books Jessie. Jay you always do a great job but wanted to tell you Mina is sounded out with a long I🥰. That was my mother’s name. Like the myna bird😏 Thanks for this beautiful book!
Phoebe Clyborne’s brother Ezra has hired his college roommate to help plan and prepare for a rodeo to help raise money for the farm. Tillman Steiner comes with baggage since his wife divorced him, took his children, and made him sell his ranch to pay her off, but he knows how to run a rodeo and what’s needed for it. He and Phoebe work together and discover they work well and enjoy each other’s company. Phoebe has always taken care of her family and isn’t sorry. This is a great story about working together and relying on God to solve problems.
