I have a friend who did interior design work. Whenever I was stuck about what to add to my home or place in a room, she would say "Buy what you love. Don't worry if things 'go together'. Your things will become friends and your home will say something about you and be interesting". I love how you have curated what YOU love. Your home is interesting, liveable and all the more beautiful.

While I don’t like having that much decorations in my own home, I truly love your beautiful apt. It’s so cozy and inviting. I wouldn’t have known that this was an apt in NYC if you didn’t mention it or show what it looks like outside the window. You have great taste in decorating, it’s so beautiful ❤️

Do not destroy the shoe cabinet with a curtain…you can fix the door. No matter how many pieces. This apartment is so classic! When you added those subtle touches such as moldings, paint color, ceiling wallpaper, the fireplace mantel, so many parts to bring this together. Excellent!

When I tell you I lived in an apartment growing up in Brooklyn with a similar mantle and now I wish I would have appreciated it more as a kid. This was when Williamsburg was not a popular area, in fact it was considered a bad area to live in. Lived right on Bedford Ave.

Beautiful. Made practical use of every nook and cranny in this apartment. Adding the molding & ceiling fixtures took apartment up to another level of sophistication.

This is utterly delightful. I really like the gentle, elegant yet livable quality. I think you've convinced me to add some moldings when I move. I love the burgundy/wine foliage against the green/grey tones (that's how it looks on my monitors at least). Pearl is a winner.

My wife and I are wowed at the way you have turned the boring apartment into a high end apartment. Our favorite is the t.v. and cabinet underneath but truly it's all very outstanding. Love Pearl, too.

I usually love minimal aesthetics nowadays but I love the vibe of your place. The colors are calm and classy, and there are touches of old school/vintage pieces that I enjoy. Overall it’s quite beautiful. 🤍🤍

The space had great bones , with the step down living room.. the arches into the spaces and rooms ... but you had the vision! I feel your home is unique because of your use of color, like the dining wall, dark beautiful cabinets and all the trimwork. The fireplace was icing on the cake. I could see some white birch logs just tied and set on the hearth in front for texture. YOu have truley made a one of a kind nest for your family in the middle of NYC! And you with Pearl was so precious. Your eyes just lit up when you were hugging him.

Make sure you put L brackets on that tall bookshelf….my son pulled mine over on him when he was 2…..I thought he was dead….he also took all of the pictures off the wall near and over his crib and destroyed them….so make sure there is no glass in the frames….boys are terrible as toddlers….but are so loving as they grow up….hugs carolyn from Columbus GA

I love all the muted tones you used on the walls throughout your home. Your vintage collectibles and furniture are lovely. You make great use of your hiding spaces with cute boxes, etc. The thing I miss most about not living in NYC since 1990, is that I have not had deep windowsills. Some of my former apartments didn’t have windowsills at all, and my current apartment’s windowsills are no deeper than a small drinking glass. I love plants, and now have to put them on tables in front of windows. What a waste of my floor space!

Your apartment is absolutely beautiful and your dog is so sweet. Be careful with the glass fronted cabinet in your son's room. It is always a good idea to anchor anything large and heavy like that so that he can't ever pull it down on himself. Love your taste in decorating.
