Yes it was! Those baits just seem to be what everything wanted that morning! We left a lot of bigger fish in the water because a smaller fish would choke the bait before it could get down to them! We appreciate you watching!

Awesome collaboration guys!!! Y’all caught a boat load of crappie and bluegill! Even a few fun bass in there! That one definitely looked attacked by something. The most interesting fish in the world!!! 😂😂😂. He once swam into a pikes mouth just to see how it feels 😂

And as far as my favorite way to catch crappie- I am loving the minnows or a double hair jig rig! I have got to get some of those trout magnets and give them a shot!

Those are all great options Matt and I have a preference for a great Rock Creek Double hair jig rig myself! You should try the Trout magnets as I was pleasantly surprised with how effective they were at catching Crappie!

Can you please stop telling everyone about the crappie nugget. That tiny little dough ball has really shined for me when in the boat with 2 other guys. All on the same bush pile, and I’m 4 to 1 out fishing both of them combined. And to prove my point th them we shuffled seats and my streak continues. Only guy using the nibbles . I couldn’t convince them to at least try them. Great video and keep them coming.

Ha! I love this comment. I know what you mean. We should be keeping the nibbles a secret.😂 They work so well. A lot of folks seem to doubt them, but they absolutely produce fish. I’ll let Jim weigh in here…but I honestly think he and Mike caught just as many fish on the Trout Magnet/ Nibble combo as they did with the live minnows. Or, it was at least pretty close. They are certainly a good option. Loved your story of using them to out fish the other guys in your boat. That’s gold!😂

We don't keep anything less than 11" even though legally we can. There is just not enough meat on it. I would rather let them grow.

Sad. I have heard stories of people catching 100+ crappie. I have to wonder how many threw some of them in a ditch because they got tired cleaning them. Then they later complain because we can't catch as many as we used to catch.

Yes, I have heard similar stories with them saying exactly that! Some Bass fishermen in our area catch them and throw them on the bank because they think the two species can't co exist.... ignorance has ruined some great things!
