what a beautiful story about an innocent man named nigel trying to make ends meet in the corrupt and crime-ridden city of Los Santos. so inspiring that he becomes a racecar driver and surpasses all expectations.
Beautiful indeed. Also, you made me remember a dream I once had. It involved Tommy from the first _Mafia_ game avoiding the criminal career he had in the game, instead becoming a professional race car driver and later a tank officer during World War II.
@@KingKuntaNAtorYes... but you will not be arrested for self defense when the other person is running at you with a knife trying to stab you like that one bounty npc was doing.
Nigel, once a normal man surviving in a crime ridden city completely broke, now millionaire race car driver, sky diver, and toy collector. What a beautiful come-up story...
They say I shot a man named Gray and took his wife to Italy, She inherited a million bucks and when she died it came to me. I can't help it if I'm lucky. (Bob Dylan - Idiot Wind)
He is technically identical to the players robbing casinos with heavy weaponry. The question is: is he trying to avoid committing crimes, or is he trying to avoid getting caught committing crimes? Because willingly taking any action that you know will lead to another person's death is premeditated murder. If he incorporated self defense he'd have a stronger justification for their deaths, that's ignoring that his actions prove he was bounty hunting without a license anyway. - And who paid for his racing license!?
this sounds like a great character: nigel, the bounty hunter who's bounties all die accidentally and thus is not legally responsible for their deaths, all because of his strong moral convictions. hysterical.
@@PatLund but the thing is, he didn't. Not a single dollar. Not even that axe, it was just a treasure he happened to find after the guidance of a good friend.
I used to live in California back when they had Republicans in charge, so before the big government liberals siezed control. And I can tell you in some places running and Jay walking CAN in fact get you arrested or at least a fine. If u run in some areas its assumed ur up to no good especially if u dress a certain way. Don't underestimate the ridiculousness of California. If it was that bad THEN I can imagine it's even worse now. I left right around the time skaters were really popular, in the mid 2000s. Skateboarding was pretty much illegal everywhere, if they bothered to catch you. Even dressing like a skater or dressing like you listened to hip hop, baggy pants, beanies, that was enough to get some yuppie to call the cops on you. My new York friends say it's even worse out there. It's not that running is expresslyillegal, its that they use other disruption laws to fuck with you if they don't like you. Which means if ur under 30 or dress like ur under 30, they WILL assume you are running from a crime. In California schools they have what they call "noon duty" it's parents and shit who volunteer to walk around the school and make sure kids are behaving impeccably. I remember many times getting sent to the principals office for stepping on grass, or an empty plot, or because me and my friends were pushing eachother or rough housing. There was always a "noon lady" lurking around every corner. Often a white Karen or Vietnamese woman with a heavy accent. They were like the gestapo. I remember getting the cops called on me for taking my asthma inhaler. I was like 12 so I still had that attachment, that little chamber thing. And it broke, so I threw it away and the cop saw me. I guess my friends were giggling and making jokes while I was in the bathroom puffing, and a noon lady called the police and the school cop roughed me up and searched me assuming we were smoking pot. So yeah the moral of the story is. Don't assume what is legal and illegal. I know this is a video game but I feel I have to drop some knowledge on you lest u find urself in a big city one day, getting the shit kicked out of you by police for jogging down the wrong street.
@@elliot_rat Yes, almost all millionaires got there by being pretty unethical and quite a few of them are straight up criminals. Not a hard notion to grasp and it doesn't have anything to do with an internet forum full of neckbeards such as probably yourself
When the security gaurd attacked you and gave you a wanted level it was obviously police misconduct and not a crime that was commited. So this challenge is definitely valid.
Is the Kortz Center an open public place or not? I havent played gta v in a long time so i dont really know, but if the Kortz Center has certain open public time, then Nigel could have been targeted for trespassing, although thats a bit extreme take for trespassing from the security
Technically if the guard wanted him removed he committed trespassing, and also either way provoking someone to fight is considered disturbing the peace under California Penal Code (CPC) §415 - but I'm not a lawyer and I'm guessing it can go either way because technically he just walked up to them.

So pretty much, what I'm getting here is that Nigel just became a professional F1 racer after going through multiple midlife crisis? Honestly sounds pretty realistic.
To elaborate on what our friend here is saying. GTA 5 is set in San Andreas (though this time it is only Blaine County and Los Santos County). San Andreas, in the real world, is in California. However, in the GTA universe, it is it’s own state likely somewhere between California and Texas. Probably around the California-New Mexico-Nevada area. So he wouldn’t STILL be roaming the streets of California as he was never there to begin with.
Nah this was painful to watch lmao the entire time I was screaming "BLACKJACK! POKER! SLOTS!" at my screen... All are legal ways of earning money in GTAO
@@guy1849 not everyone makes RU-vid videos. What's your point? If you're thinking about legal ways of making money in GTA, the casino is literally the best (and almost only) option
The bounty pier drowning thing, despite being done in the interest of committing no crimes, feels like a literal serial killer modus operandi; It strikes me as the kind of thing that new laws would be made for after someone actually did it and acted like a fucking batman villain over it, I just imagine a complete sociopath with a wry smile waiting at a police station to be let free as an angry, unhinged detective/interrogator is informed by the pier drowning bountyman's lawyer that he has, in fact, committed no real crime. It's not even manslaughter.
I mean hell it even follows some of the most strict laws on self defense: the "duty to retreat." All he did was run away while getting chased by violent people and they died trying to chase him
Actually, that one area with a pretty steep drop to the water is a health and safety hazard. Hopefully a gate will be put in afterwards making the beach a safer place 👍

He might not defend himself, but I will.
How you had the patience and conscious awareness to not accidentally break the law via tresspassing or by accidentally driving on the highway is incredible. I also find it funny how you suffered police brutality which ruined your record, just like real life 😂 Amazing video

The fact that this video can give people who haven’t ever even played GTA V before a good laugh is truly something special. However, if you are very familiar with the game and have played for a questionable amount of hours, it’s absolutely side splitting. This is a fantastic video 🤣
“I can’t be a bounty hunter because I don’t have a license. So instead I’m going to commit conspiracy to commit murder through a series of increasingly more complicated methods in order to make it appear like an accident” seems perfectly legal to me
Probably, but I believe he still falls short of the guy who tried to beat pokemon with a magikarp. I think he has more dedication than anyone in history
"I can't commit crimes but I'm desperate for money, therefore I'll make sure the bounties die in...unfortunate circumstances! No crime there!" That is literally how most criminals start lmao
-Jumping the pier is illegal -collecting a treasure without reporting it is illegal -climbing buildings is illegal No but seriously great video, i didnt think this would be possible
In bounty hunting, the target starts to attack you without provocation, self defense isnt a crime. Different from the tutorial mission, which was clearly a gang dispute, the bounty hunting was legal and the self defense after an unprovoked attack
I'd say it depends. Self defense is a thing but there are rules to it. If someone punches you once, you can't pull out a gun and shoot them in the head. The actions need to make sense for the circumstance. So for the bounties who punch you, you'd need to be getting beaten to death or pinned down for it to be justifiable. The ones with knives on the other hand are fair game.
@@maddmaxx5670 You dont need to kill, you even receive more money if you bring they alive. You just punch till the target surrender and stop the aggression, this exactly what self defense is. Someone unprovoked start attacking you and you attack back till he stops
Detective: We’ve got cctv footage of you interacting with five people, all who died in freak accidents shortly after. Nigel: But did I do anything illegal? Detective: Well no, but- Nigel: Good day!
Considering officers ignored him being assaulted and murdered in plain sight twice and a security guard murdered him while he was being murdered, I think Nigel has a good grasp on what is and isn't murder. He can sleep easy at night. Although I think he deserves a new, properly insured, set of wheels.
This makes me want a “life simulator” game even more . Imagine having tons of people on the server be “law abiding citizens” and then there’s the PvPers being criminals . Would be an amazing game .
In self defense situations, especially in places like California, the law becomes very gray. If someone were to respond violently to assault and battery or assault with a deadly weapon, instead of fleeing, it wouldn't be a pleasant case once you're in court.
@@Steven-cf1ty yeah, but being put in court doesn't mean you're guilty. If you can look at a situation in this ((video game)) where it is definitely a case of self defense, it's pedantic to sit there and just assume court = guilty. He could, if he wanted at least for the sake of the video and entertainment purposes make a point that he had to go to court to "prove" his actions just and legal. Also what he was doing with bounty hunting was arguably more illegal than beating up the wanted person and taking them in.
@@Tyufoe96 yet he inserted himself into these situations, making it likely a jury would find him guilty, that is if the case would go as far as a trial.
@@IEatPooPooForFun what you saw 90% of the video is bounty hunting, which is a legal profession and as far as we know you are being employed by a bail bonds woman. You can legally defend yourself against someone who is wanted for jumping bail. What he's doing by luring them into dying is literally more illegal than beating up a bail jumper who decided to attack you on sight, whether it be bare handed, knife, or gun. Manslaughter (or even murder if enough proof is given) for purposefully leading someone to their death vs. Beating criminal up for attacking you
Absolutely huge respect for actually doing this. Must have taken so much willpower to not quit, especially since it was a self-imposed challenge. Also, doesn't hurt that the video turned out quite funny. Nice job man
He technically failed because California isn’t a treasure trove state so it’s illegal to keep treasure you find and you have to turn it into the authorities but he kept the treasure he found.
i like the minimalist design of these, they obviously cant make them look like real guns so this was the best route they could take to make them look semi-mature for teen audiences, plus they just look kinda cool to hold
Under CA law, the following GTA guns are legal to own •All melee except for knuckle duster, switchblade, and stone hatchet (Native American artifact) •double action revolver (considered C&R handgun) •flare gun (not considered firearm) •marksman pistol (manual action handgun) •navy revolver (not considered firearm) •pistol .50 (on handgun roster, 9 round capacity) •stun gun •vintage pistol (C&R weapon) •sniper rifle (bolt action, 10 round capacity) •bullpup shotgun (tube mag shotgun) •musket (not considered firearm) •Pump shotgun (tube mag shotgun) •marksman rifle mk2* (no pistol grip, no flash hider, no adjustable stock, 8 rounds) *someone has pointed out that M1A archangel stocks are actually considered to have pistol grips, so this one is actually illegal. Out of all of these you can basically only carry the knife and stun gun on your person, but you can RP running back to your personal vehicle to grab any of those guns out of the trunk if you’re in a self defense situation and still be legally in the clear.
Dude, you think you can flee the scene, open the trunk, pull out a shotgun and kill whoever provoked you? That wouldn't be legal self defense in any state lol.
Technically, not reporting the crimes you witness (such as the other players ramming into each other) to the police, is a crime on itself, and so is watching a guy drown without trying to rescue him, calling for help or giving CPR
@@doughboywhine No, he could have dialed 911 or tried to push them to shore by swimming into them. Then I'd say that he did what he could to help. But honestly, a premeditated staged accident probably still is a crime in the first place, just with more steps, so that whole bounty hunter thing was definitely iffy... I mean, I couldn't rub a chair in peanuts and then invite someone to my house, which I knew had a peanut allergy, and then when they died from sitting on the chair, just go "Well, I didn't do it. He sat on the chair himself" xD But it was very creative and fun to watch!
But of course, as the people he drowned was chasing him and hurting him, then not helping them could be considered a matter of personal protection I guess. But still... 911
Had a giggle at the idea that diving into the sea to "accidentally" push someone into it, leading them to drown to death, would be considered "crimeless". Poor bastards.
I have played GTA 5 since 2018 and since then, I have one character who has never broken a single law. I love it how I run from the other players and see the chaos erupt in Los Santos while I'm playing tennis or golf with my two friends.
