Easy. Throw a blanket over the tv while playing spider-man and turn up the back ground noise. No music. And there u have.. an authentic daredevil game.
Sifu combat with wall running platforming = a great Daredevil game. Add in some stealth sections (infiltrate Fisk Tower maybe) and work out how to do something with the radar sense that's not just pointing out objects of note and you've got something which might be worth playing.
Yeah, would love a kind of fear mechanic in there as well, like Ghost Of Tsushima. Also, What do you think of the audio quality of the video really trying to improve it?
@@MumblinGamer Great idea! I'd also play the fuck out of Ace Attorney style Daredevil courtroom game. Another cool idea from the vid. I think a Daredevil game would work best if you don't go down the open world route. He's not Spiderman or Superman, he doesn't even glide like Batman, so the traversal would be a fudge for an open world. Instead make it old school, but with modern mechanics The audio quality is fine to my ears mate.
Thank you!! maybe it would be more like the original Assassin Creed game with smaller sub worlds and closer together streets. If they detailed the building enough it could work maybe.
I would love a game like that in the marvel games but feel like everything around daredevil now is more combat than stealth but linear would be better if it’s just set in hell kitchen. It would be good to make a agent of shield game inspired by them two though
Yeah I see that but I feel that’s one of the reasons Spider-Man games just work. The traversal is just so detrimental to his character so it’s easy to get engrossed by spiderman games. I don’t really see how this would work with daredevil. The only thing I could see working for him is parkour and some sort of grapple mechanic.
grapple Hook and a upgrades style of assassin's creed parkour could work very well in a smaller environment. With the Darker tones of Daredevil I do think it could be better than Spider-Man in a lot of ways. Btw random question I have been working on the audio for my video a lot lately and just wondering what you think of the audio quality of this video?
I had made some rough ideas about a DD game as well, and I think it could be pulled off in a software like Dreams on the PS5, seeing how the possibilities on that platform are endless. For the combat, I wanted to do a mix between Sifu and Arkham Combat. I wanted 3 stances for DD, one for hand to hand, one for his billy club as two batons and one for his billy club as a staff. A stagger meter for both DD and his enemies, staggering leads to finishers. Stances would have their own benefits, the batons being good for damage, the staff being good fot crowds and fists being good for stagger. Keeping a successful combo would allow DD to either do a critical move (disarm enemies, instant stagger etc) or you can keep the combo up long enough to enter a radar sense mode, where enemies attacks are telegraphed easily, your hits do lot of damage but taking a hit will take a good chunk off your health. Enemies will be street goons, heavy goons, martial artists, shooters etc. DD will have to use his billy club to stop enemies from throwing flash bangs and shooting guns because these weapons can cause his senses to overload. DD will be more acrobatic and jumping around the arena more than what we see in Sifu. For the traversal, set the game in a 1:1 scale Hell's Kitchen and have him parkour around. Grappling points to let him swing but the main focus is on the parkour. For Stealth, DD should use his radar sense over anything, so main objective of Stealth is to take out light sources, torches and using your radar sense to move around. I have a lot more notes but this is already very long
Love it I’m not sure about stances I’m not sold on them as a mechanic yet. would love to be closer to Sifu with being tough to master. Yeah all the mechanics are just there ready to be made. Who would be your villains?
Some sort of wire frame graphics or like Batman, Arkham, Detective mode on all the time is what I imagine a daredevil game would be like. If someone made some sort of wire frame art style mixed with something kind of like the new Hellboy game Can’t imagine a daredevil game, not having some sort of heavy stylization
It would have to be a 1st person game, similar to Dishonored. The POV would mostly be black with hints of red, similar to the comic and tv show. The player could be stealthy, but will have a hard time detecting his enemies outside your range. You could throw a rock into an area, in order to echolocate who's standing in the area. However, you run the risk of someone, you didn't notice, seeing you throw a rock. Or you could run in sticks flying, knuckles bruising, you'll be able to echolocate everyone within a certain range. The lawyer part could be similar to L.A. Noire. When you have a case, you can't waste too much time per night mission nor take too much damage because it will affect your day in court.
@@MumblinGamer Insomniac should venture into making First Person games, especially Spider-Man. Ever since Garfield Spider-Man's first swing, I've been wanting a First Person Spider-Man game. It would be more challenging, instead of being a copy of the Arkham series: dodge, counter, crazy combo.
They would definitely just make a PSVR2 Game. Also I can't disagree I love the Arkham Series and want a 4th. A dishonoured style marvel game would be great though.
