In my final video from the Oregon Coast, I spent a morning at the beautiful (and massive) Silver Falls and an afternoon waiting hours for the tide to come in at Thor's Well, an iconic spot on the rocky Oregon shoreline. I left out some juicy drone footage but I may do a video with just that at a later date.
Just a guy trying to learn landscape photography...while the whole world watches...

The waterfall was spectacular mate You got some stunning images my friend just wow. Then the blow hole was just as amazing man. Excellent video and image's mate.

Those wells and blow holes are quite amazing...not the easiest to get good shots of either...it has been a number of years since I have been to Oregon...made the trip down when I lived in BC...love the coastal area...and the mosses are fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing...

I hear BC is a beautiful area as well. I didn't realize the sheer beauty of the coast in that part of the country, seemingly from northern Cali all the way through BC. I am already trying to plan my next trip back. Thanks for watching! Hope you are doing well, cheers!

Welcome! I started a new 9-5 a couple months ago and the initial start has kept me super busy but i'm hoping soon my schedule will let me get back out soon, miss taking photos and miss making videos.

Wow that is epic! the water really gets thrown out, 7:38 is a lovely image mate, so were the waterfalls. I'm sure the beer was well appreciated after that haha 🍻

Thanks Rauri. I didn’t know what to expect heading to Thor’s well but learned quickly that the best time to shoot was an hour before or an hour after high tide. The conditions were a little on the bright blue side but it was still a lot of fun. Thanks for watching, cheers.

Thanks Andrew, I think overall I stood there for about 4 hours, never got bored and loved every second of it! The conditions weren't optimal but it was an amazing experience. A good reason/excuse to go back on my next trip! Hope you and your are well, cheers!

Holy Jesus Christ...LOL...that's my kind of photography language right there! Glad I'm not the only one! Another great video Christopher. Oregon is just so spectacular. That waterfall is amazing and you got some great images of it. And Thor's Well, that should be on everyone's bucket list. That last image of it was fantastic! I've really enjoyed this trip of yours! Hope you are doing well and hope you got that beer!

Thanks Paul...truth is, my language in real life is quite colorful, I blame it on restaurants :-) I've tried to be good on YT but I will admit, I was quite emotional while standing there at Thor's Well. The conditions were not optimal but the experience of both the falls and Thor's well were amazing. I was able to take time to both enjoy and photograph, and I think that actually leads to better photos! I did get my beer, a few of them! Hope you're well!

Thanks! It's such an awesome location, and it's about a 5 minute walk from the parking area so not to difficult to get to. I wish I had had more time in Oregon or I would have come back as stormy or sunset conditions would have been awesome. The challenge with Thor's well is the tides, best time to photograph is an hour before high tide or an hour after, if you can match that up with the time of day and light, you should get something mint, hope you make it out there.

@@ChristopherCina My trips are like yours, I think. We have to get somewhere and try to see as much as possible on the way. Hopefully when we retire in a few years I'll finally get to take as much time as I need! The last time I was out that way, I didn't know about Thor's Well and drove right past it. lol

@@MainlightDrone Yeah, usually I try and squeeze in some shooting while traveling for ork, sometimes I make it, many times I don't. I first saw Thor's well on Nick Page's RU-vid channel if I remember correctly. We hve an office in Portland so I'll get the chance to go back a couple times a year, it's a 2-3 hour drive I think from there but would be worth it if conditions line up.
