I spent the day in Grenoble, France, which is a beautiful city in the Alps, surrounded by mountains and two rivers. If you visit France, you should definitely visit Grenoble!

thanks for sharing....i used to live in the apartments connected to the Park Hotel with a view of the 3 towers...walked and ski all those mountains near there...i miss it

Those three towers (aka Grenoble skyscrapers built especially for the 1968 Olympics) are quite good to live in. The apartments there are very comfortable. The view from the furthest tower from the mountains is gorgeous - forest and parks.

Right at 3:28 in the middle of the screen there is another fortress even higher. The view is even more insane from there. Its so high and far away that is almost impossible to see it from the center.

The graffitti is a huge problem for Grenoble and the most disgusting thing is that the current mayor doesn't just do anything about it, but even encourages it by a total laissez-faire attitude even considering it some kind of street-art. Grenoble is unfortunately the graffitti capital of France and this "streetart" really maims the cityscape.

It seems to be a problem all over Europe. If you ride the train through Geneva, there is graffiti everywhere. It is a big problem in US cities, too. I don't understand why people feel the need to write all over everything. I agree with you - it ruins the cityscape. Thank you for the comment!

L'Isère et le Drac sont des fleuves, non des rivières.

@@philipsorg4406 non ce n'est pas le cas. Un fleuve peut être très dangereux et sournois. Il y a très longtemps de cela, Grenoble a été inondée et cela a fait des morts par centaines. Un fleuve termine sa course dans l'océan, la mer ou une mer intérieure. Une rivière est un affluent d'un fleuve. Elle se jette dans une rivière, qui se jette dans une autre qui se jette dans un fleuve

C'est justement l'inverse. Le Drac se jette dans l'Isère qui se jette elle même dans le Rhône. Le Rhône se jetant dans la mer, cela en fait un fleuve et non une rivière.
