I’m from Harlem but when I moved back temporarily I loved shopping on Jamaica ave. Plus when I needed a damn break from manhattan noise, queens provided that for me lol.
I used to work on 105th n 🇯🇲ave under that train station. It low-key looks like Brooklyn until you hit those side streets (str8 QueeNYs). Peace from BK 🗽 Medina
New subscriber to your channel saw the title and I was instantly hooked because I grew up in Jamaica Queens as a teenager during the 90s and my twenties during the 2000 but I remember the glory days and action around the Coliseum mall and the famous Margaritas pizza 🍕 best in Queens New York so I appreciate your hard work and dedication and much success and more you bring alot of good memories I will spread the word
I work on the Avenue for years and for what I have seen in your video the place has changed a lot. It used to be more crowded and alive back then. Where all the people go ??? Thanks for the memories.
I'm from Hollis Queens (90's Baby) Yeah that area definitely changed, didn't know soo many Indians & Muslims were over there now!! But yes the Coliseum and that block is definitely going thru some abandonment shit...has nothing to do with gentrification either, it's the same reason why big chain 34th St stores are closing...
Thank you for the guided tour of Jamaica, Queens. I use to live out that way and I attended Richmond Hill High School. Your tour brought back some very pleasant memories that I will never forget. Bless you my friend.
My grandma lived in 40 for decades. We use to travel to the ave as kids. She lives on the ave now but I don’t go as often. I rarely travel down to that Wendy’s, never knew it changed. That snipes use to be Washington mutual I believe(some type of bank). Nice vlog ma!
You are sharing knowledge fir all the new school and the OG's. Run- DMC. Hollis crew. Q2 BUS. Q3 BUS. YES. NEW YORK FRIED CHICKEN. FARMERS AND MERRICK. YOU ARE SUPER LIT. NINA NATION STAND UP
Thanks for the video. Bring back memories working in that area ,queens was my second home. it was a relief getting away from the bronx and going to work out there
I am from South side Jamaica queens and I am right by the chicken spot on merrick and farmers good food the ave is not the same but I like your content ❤👍👍👍
Back in the late 80’s early 90’s the coloseum use ti be wild. Southside & Hollis use to get it on up there. That was b4 we peaced it up. Head Hunters Barbershop, Shirt Kingz was the spot. Back when the original bus terminal was the only bus terminal. The train station on Parsons & Archer wasn’t even there. My real OG’s know what I’m talking about. Damn I miss those days. R.I.P to all the ones we lost. & thanks for the video young lady. You took me back. Keep up the good content.
I use to live in Corona ( 111th / 112th st )... also lived in Rosedale Queens... 243rd... went to Francis Lewis high for half a year... lol... then moved to the Carolinas ... then moved to Binghamton NY... # 5 borough thorough

Just subbed to your channel. Thanks for showing us around your neighborhood. I only been to New York one time and I didn’t get to really explore the city but maybe next time.
QGTM I remember hitting the ave everyday after school for pizza or beef patties with cheese and coco bread then trying to get home on the dollar van before the bullets started flying 😂💪🏽 good times
I enjoyed watching this video, live in the area, it’s give me a different perspective of my area though. I may have gone in the Wendy’s when you worked there. I’m originally from BK. Growing up the Pink Houses and just the Stuy had a big reputation of nothing to play with. Peace, love & keep shining.
If you would've walked to Jamaica and Guy Brewer pass York College eventually you would've been around 40 projects area more or less. That's a pretty nasty lil projects. But in my opinion Queensbridge, Ravenswood or Redfern in Farrock would probably be the grimiest projects in Queens in my opinion.
To answer your question any part of queens can be griddy but I’m from the rock and you gotta definitely tread lightly out here ..and the cap king, sports world are my fitted had store I go cop my fitteds..and facts about the beef patty and margarita pizza..my ass hop on that Q113/114 from rockaway to the ave to shop..keep doing your thing 💪🏽🫡🙏🏽
Ayo you ain’t lying about treading light. I’m from South East Queens( Linden & Farmers area) & yall Far Rock cats are different. Cats can get missing out there. I use to breeze through there in & out by the Hammels. Nothing sweet about Far Rock. You can get missing out there. 😂
So what up Queen i see you are looking fine as always I it's your knights inn shining armor Gurt from Hollis to FLA Hollaing at you oyea you ready to move up cause I just see you wake up in my arms everyday Holla at a Brother stay sweet and fine as wine for me Gurt ❤😂
I just subscribed lol when you said I am not going to Queens and not go to Jamaica avenue . I can't get used to the wendy's being the sakara japanese place. I get a patty everytime I go there a caribbean delight. I think that is the name of it.
Born in Queens, dad joined the service....been backmand forth my whole (40) life...this shit is the same it has always been. As a kid, I bumped into Run DMC on the ave....saw Ja Rule shooting a video out there. This is nostalgic to see...def gotta get ya beef patty and you better know what u want and be quick!
Yo great video -- keep creating .. the Movie theater closed - 2020 hindsight - 15 minute cities are building faster and faster... one thing.. Belly was shot there... but yo.. 165th street is on the chopping block as they will be building some new big buildings there...
Show them times Square , Brooklyn Bridge , South st seaport , Fordham rd, Lincoln center , central park , Bronx zoo , Brooklyn zoo , etc Keep up the good work
I lived by Roy Wilkins Park, had to go to Parsons and archer on the Ave to catch the nearest train. haven’t lived there since 911 when I was in sixth grade though, good memories!
Ll cool j, 50 cent, jarule, run dmc, daymond John, the system mic Murphy, Fredro Starr onyx , tribe called quest, Al roker , Anthony mason , Nicki Minaj , Debi mazar, the coumos, even the infamous former president, Jamaica /hollis queens had all the game changers . Even past jazz artist count Basie (st albans) The history of the who’s who grew up here is lit. We need our own documentary on the talent.
10:31..raekwon ice cream video was shot right here...Also, when i was a kid my mom use to come off at the bus depot behind king fish market..I remember the donut shop there too and the sweet smell.. Great memories.
10:05 definitely would’ve been creeped out at this point lol these type of monuments were definitely so packed by in the day it gives creepy vibes to see it so empty now even though it’s still clearly in business 😅
Girl, why did you get off at suphtin and do that long walk to the ave..😂😂 you coulda got off at the last stop...I currently still live in Southside Jamaica, Queens off of the infamous 109 and Merrick...Jamaica Ave use to be so lit in the 90's..I was 20 years old in 1996..I still visit the ave for food and beauty supplies...But back in the day was epic 💯
