@@BLASTA_BABY work for Marriott aswell, honestly just don’t let the rude and mean guests get to your head. In most situations their at fault or plain rude and their words and behavior doesn’t define you. Get a hard shell and also learn to stay calm and professional. Whatever happens don’t turn rude on them, that’s what they want so they can really start complain or ask for compensations. Everybody has that one rude guest and there is going to be the first, then the second and soon also the fifth or something, but after the third you won’t care.🥱 Of course feel free to get mad in the back of house with the team 😂🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

really really enjoyed this video! Back in the early nineties, I used to work at the Holiday Inn Sea-Tac in Seattle near the Hotel gift shop but also took reservations for our top of the Inn restaurant in the evening. I worked both the morning and evening shifts depending upon the schedule and I remember going over to the front desk sometimes for different things that were needed But never ended up working on that section. Definitely a tough job with a lot of responsibilities! Thank you for making the video :-)

bruh grr anger that’s probably a good idea! my job didn’t require any experience so I don’t know much, if I were you I would research jobs that don’t require experience and start from there. like you said a mail clerk, a clinic, or maybe a salon? If you’re in college working behind the desk in the residence halls also counts or anything with customer service in particular, hope I helped you out a little bit with this one, take care.

Hey Lala. I just started working at a hotel called "Country Inn & Suites" same job position as you. I'm working Front Desk and I've been working there for the past 3 days last week. It's a good job. Today I'm about to start on my afternoon shift from 3pm to 11pm. To be honest with you, I gotta say that the okay part of the job is the check-in and check-out procedure for guests, counting up the money upfront and doing every little thing on the check list. But honestly, sometimes I feel like I get myself a bit overwhelmed with so much to do and so much info to look over, I don't want to be the guy to screw up and look bad on the job, you know? I mean, It's a lot to take in for this job. Plus, standing around for 8 hours is pretty hectic for someone like me who just started out working at a hotel for their first job. Plus, some guests can be rude or impatient sometimes, but I'm guessing you've been through it before in your experience. Also, not gonna lie, I do sometimes feel like I want to change job positions for something more fitting for me to work in the hotel. But, I gotta get used to this job first. Do you have any helpful advice or tips to give to a guy like me who is still getting used to this job? Any helpful advice would be nice to hear. Thank you and also thank you for having this video to give me an idea of how the afternoon shift is sort of like. I appreciate it. Have a good one and be safe.

Jason Zhou thank you for commenting on my video. I really enjoy working as a front desk agent. I believe it all depends on the location of the job and the people you work with but for me, my experience have been so great. It only takes a few days to learn all of the tasks and of course it just takes practice to “master” everything that comes with the job. It’s a breeze!

Are you still on youtube? I have an interview this Tuesday and a Holiday Inn and I am a bit nervous but it is near the airport so this should be fun I hope everything goes well and then I can start doing more vlogs for my channel! How did you start recording yourself while working there I am a bit iffy on that but I was going to wait until I was there for a couple months for me to be more comfty yknow?

Hi Gilla! Thanks for making this video 😊 I’m just wondering if there’s a certain age requirement or do you need to have a specific work experience etc

Thank you so much! Some hotels will require 21+ if the hotel is selling alcohol on the property but 18+ will be okay too. It just depends on the location really and some places also prefer work experience at least in customer service.

I started working at the hotel where I’m at when I was 17. Also had no work experience before. Think it just depends on which hotel it is

Hey Lala, quick question: How much downtime is there on this job? If I wanted to read a book or something, is there time to do this on the job or would that be pretty frowned upon/not likely to happen?
@xxprincessmysteriousxx2447
@xxprincessmysteriousxx2447 2 года назад
Hey I can answer this. I just got a job today at a hotel, and the manager told me there is a lot of downtime. It can get really boring, especially in the winter. Summer months are more hectic though. If you want quiet I suggest going to a smaller chain like I did.

I enjoyed that!! Are you getting tired of questions...even a year later? Haha! I was wondering if it's usually young people at the front desk or do they ever hire people in their 30's or older? Also, is there a uniform or just a dress code? 😀

What is the point of going through the drive-thru and then having a mobile order, the drive-thru is going to make a drink in the same amount of time and it’s going to be fresher
@BabiieeGirlx3
@BabiieeGirlx3 4 года назад
Hydra Nation for me it just saves the time for them to have to take my order, putting my order in their system, and paying at the window. Them having my order already paid for and ready saves a little time for me and the employees. I went through the drive thru at that particular location because they put their drive thru customers first than inside mobile pick up (which doesn’t make sense to me at all) so I’ve always just picked up my order through the drive thru!

Ordering mobile requires u to either check in via the app when u arrive to the line or let the app know when u are in route and most apps share the ETA w/the restaurant that way the food is still hot/fresh when mobile orderer’s arrive.
