a lot of these comments are so harsh..... college was a rough transition for me as my high school was super easy . it will take some time to adjust but don’t let it get you down. I definitely recommend office hours! profs will often vouch for you if they see you seriously trying

What about marketing? I feel like you'd excel in that. You've basically been doing that since you were 15

For the syllabus read the following: 1) Course objectives 2) % of what assignments are weighted 3) How many tests or quizzes you have 4) Policy regarding absences 5) how many days assignment be late before they deduct points 6) print it out hole punch put into binder 7) mark/tab your schedule of when you need to complete weekly readings and when assignments are due Canvas: -the dashboard is your friend -change your courses to colors to discriminate between them -go on there on your free time an navigate for a brief moment -DOWNLOAD canvas app and get notifications of course updates or assignments Good luck!

Hey summer! There are some mean comments here so I thought I’d try to offer you advice instead.. I went back to university after a gap year and it was hard to adjust to having so many deadlines. I’m finishing my undergrad now and I highly recommend you take every single syllabus and write all the percentages of everything down and when they are due as like a checklist. Then you should go through your planner and put the due dates of everything and if they are big things, how much they are worth. It’s a lot to start out with but it will help you in the end knowing you aren’t forgetting anything. Additionally, if you have certain deadlines you are nervous to meet, out them a day ahead. For instance, I had only quizzes one year due at midnight Sunday, and I was nervous to forget and run out of time, so I marked them due Saturday so I would have them done. I know first year things are fun and don’t seem serious but they will really bite you in the end. If you are going to go on to do a masters, some schools will look at a four years so if you start off strong you won’t need Herculean efforts in your third and fourth years to make up for first and second.

Hey summer! I’m a senior in college right now, you really should consider reading all of your syllabi one by one. Take notes if you need to, and write all of the due dates in your planner. This is very key. Just some advice from a successful college student

SUMMER do not be fooled by the syllabus given out when in high school!!! it’s so different in college and you actually use it throughout the year!! it has info that can help you plan your whole quarter, which i’m sure will help with scheduling your lifestyle around it!! anyways love your vids and love that you’re trying something new! so inspiring!! ❤️❤️❤️

Summer, I am entering my senior year of college so here is some advice for you! the first week is always super stressful. I end up crying and freaking out at least one point during the first week each semester while you get used to the new stuff. Also yes, read your syllabi!!! They have a ton of information about the class and what to expect throughout the semester and it gives you an idea of what your professor is like so you know if you can bs your way through assignments or if you really have to put in time and effort. Expect to put in time and effort. Especially for online it is very much self taught and you have to have the motivation to do the work on your own time. Also don't be afraid to reach out to your professors and ask questions and if you have the option to meet them, do. Good luck and happy learning!

Summer's first day of college: gets up, works out, does makeup, gets starbucks... My first day of college: wakes up "oh sh** class is in one minute, puts on a bra, and jumps on a chair praying the professor will not notice I'm not wearing pants (oh what is that there is a mirror behind me? f***) and that's why I don't make college vlogs on my channel. lol

I love seeing your college stuff! I just started studying psychology in uni so this is so interesting

It is stressful at first, but I promise you get used to everything. I would definitely just read the whole syllabus because it actually is very helpful but everyone doesn’t realize you should at first, so don’t worry about it. Honestly canvas was so hard to figure out at first, but it does get way easier to understand. Some professors use it in different ways so that still takes some getting used to, but I’m so proud of you! You got this! Each semester everything is so chaotic at first, but then you always get a routine going. :)
