It’s a constant work in progress. The mascot of the school being the duck really tees me up nicely to pull clips and sound effects from that era. Old news and archival footage has always interested me. Trying incorporate a nostalgic theme into everything I make - it’s becoming the core theme of MISC.
I been a fan since ‘10 , I been working hard in high school and I’m now in college and my second semester in community college and if I keep working hard at the rate I’m going right now , I’ll be applying next year🤞🏾 wish me luck my g🤘🏿
Alrighty get ready Braxton.... This video to me is a little interesting. It’s a little different from some of your other videos in the sense that it has little emphasis on a grand narrative rather it’s just a day in your life. Which makes sense and flows well with what you were trying to go for. It’s a well done stylized vlog that tells a simple story. What a day in your life at the university of Oregon looks like. You’re creating a video for an underserved market on RU-vid. The college scene. Alrighty now for the minute by minute breakdown. 0:01 I love your office. It’s so well organized and quirky. It’s got a spunk to it. 0:07 The twister bit is great. Your visual storytelling through props is arguably one of your greatest strengths. And it doesn’t disappoint in this video. 0:11 I appreciate the text lay out, but mainly how the “o” lines up with your left eye. It’s a nice touch. 0:19 I like the punch ins for the twister spinner reveal. 0:23 I appreciate the honesty😂 0:30 That match dissolve is excellent 0:36 I will say the blown out sky for some of the outdoor shots in the video is a little distracting. Maybe a ND filter would help with that. 0:48 The use of the typeface throughout the video is great. It’s consistent looks good and helps tell the story of your day. Also what font are you using? 0:53 Is that your actual alarm clock if so that’s great. 1:12 I like the edit there. How you use the first shot of you sitting on the sink paired with audio from the second cut. It works well. 1:16 the obligatory coffee montage 1:23 I appreciate the sub to pewds sign. Ur fighting the good fight. 1:39 I’m not a morning person but I can definitely relate to waking up early to get school work done. And it’s definitely fulfilling to get an extra stab at productivity. 1:45. The use of music throughout this video is really strong. I think because your music is kind of unique it helps elevate its use in your videos. It’s well done and not overused. Keep it up. 2:02 Indeed it is... 2:06 You have some really nice telephoto shots in this video. I appreciate the out of focus objects being incorporated into the foreground. It looks good. 2:19 You know it’s cold when you can see your breath through a camera 2:25 You’ve got some nice wide shots In this video. 2:22 You’re good at cutting to the beat. 2:51 I love this sequence. You turned arguably unusable footage into something great. The abc voiceover and then the TV 20 footage you follow it up with is great. 3:10 Again those great moments where you leave in you picking up the camera at the end of the time lapse shot. 3:48. I liked that whole sequence of you rushing forward. 3:59 Good catch 4:30 That wide shot tho. 4:50 Agreed. 5:01 That whole bus sequence is very smooth. 5:32 “This is over now” I don’t know why but that’s just a great way to end the video. 5:40 and then that little ending text sequence with that song..... perfect. Alright that’s all for now Braxton. Solid video, lighthearted enjoyable. Shows your personality and your artistic style well. Can’t wait till the next upload. Keep creating. Kind regards, Luke
would be cool if you made a spotify playlist for each film you make. music is always brilliant & adds so much to your art, would be nice to go back & listen to a collection of playlists that made up each one years from now
Thank you, Scott. I do something similar to this. I have a rotating playlist that I update daily - it’s currently only on Apple Music, but I’m figuring out how to get it on Spotify as well. I really like the idea of having a constantly evolving soundtrack to make movies to. I like your idea of having a catalog of all past tracks though. Thanks for watching!
Everything about this screams Casey neistat. The edit, the angles, the script and even the way your room is laid out. I think if that's what you were going for, you nailed it! But maybe put more of your own twist on things next time!
Interesting. I’m curious how much of a difference it would make - I assume pretty much everyone watching is watching on a device with multiple options to subscribe. Thinking a call to action as an end card to subscribe or watch a different movie could help. Any thoughts?
What’s up uso! I was wondering how the application process is? Like how easy is it to get accepted? So far all I need is one more math class and I can transfer, then I’ve finished the requirements. Any advice? Great video brotha !
Love that people pay attention to this. Kanye’s College Dropout era beats and mixtapes are such a gold mine. Every song in this video, with the exception of the ending track, is produced by Kanye. It’s cool to include the music that is so important to me in this time in life into the work. Thanks for watching. 👊🏻
@@braxtonhaugen absolutely dude. The chipmunk soul of his production is such a beautiful precursor to modern hip hop production, as well as the influence his later works have had on contemporary stuff (i.e. 808s, etc...) regardless, keep up the good stuff! Godspeed 🤟
