Lingonberry and cranberry jam are considered more of a condiment than a normal jam in the UK, so they tend to be stocked in different areas of the store. Might have better luck finding it if you try a different section? Here it's usually found in the same section as mustard, onion chutney, pickles, apple sauce and other things in small jars like that.
Yay, Linna's here today! My favourite . They will definitely have Lingonberry jam at Ikea Linna, maybe another interesting trip there is in your near future? I hope so, fingers crossed 🤞 ❤
Hi Linna, I see your vídeos from Spain and love him so much. They help me to relax before go to sleep and I love see you take care your family with all the love you have. Thank you so much for doing this videos. A lot of kisses from Spain.❤️
Hi Linna! What a lovely day ~ About the shredded carrot: Finns eat it raw like that. 😊 Often a bit of lemon juice is added to keep it fresh. When shredded finely and made from sweet carrots, the taste is great! Especially kids like it, makes a nice and nutritious side salad. Sometimes it contains extras like canned pineapple or cottage cheese, or even orange chunks.
@@longwhitemane No problem, thanks for the interest! Be sure to mix in the lemon juice properly (like you would toss a salad), so it will be evenly spread. 😊 And if you have the time, please let me know how it tasted? Ps. I think it will go with many dishes just fine, but especially European dishes should compliment it nicely. I like to serve it with Makaronilaatikko (Finnish macaroni cassarole) or Swedish style meatballs and mash. ❤️
We eat raw carrot salad here in the Midwestern US, too. Often with raisins and maybe walnuts or pecans, dressed simply in lemon juice and oil, or a mustard based dressing. It’s something I ate as a child. My mother also made Waldorf salad with apples, celery and walnuts in a creamy dressing
@@amyzan Interesting, thanks for commenting! I never knew about that. The other salad is yummy too, I have tasted it homemade by someone from the US. 😊
Fig, grape and cream cheese. Never thought of that but I have to try it now, those figs are enormous but the grapes are so expensive but hey… it’s only money🤷🙄
You can use the bread crust to make croutons! Just cut them into cubes and let them sit out for 1-2 days. Then, choose spices to toss them in, and oil, and bake or toast in a pan!
I just wait so much for your vlogs to come out i think what new will be there in next vlog and everytime you upload it and it always be something interesting to watch we all are really happy for it and thank you so much Linna sister 💜💜💜💜
Hope the hot weather slows down 😅 Here it’s still in the high 80°s F/30°sC plus humidity 🥵 I’m ready for autumn to come 😂 Chicken looked delicious 😋 Your breakfast and lunch looked amazing too 🤩 I’ve never thought to use cream cheese on fruit sandwiches. I’ve always used mayonnaise. I’ll have to give cream cheese a try! ❤
Hi Linna, you make every meal so special. From the dinnerware to the presentation. We have to treat ourselves and our loved ones. Life is short, so let us treasure each day. Your videos brighten my day.🤗💕
And i always finds something good to learn from you I'm vegetarian so i just see what coffee and breakfast you make and i really like that ice cream coffee and many other things to i do watch full vlogs of yours
Just adore Wednesday when you upload Linna. Some lovely recipes again no wonder your boys are getting so tall. Your bread crusts would make lovely croutons. I love them on salad. You have got so slim it really shows. ❤❤❤👋👵🏴
@LinnainJapan You'll be hard pressed to find it 🤣🤣🤣, but I could always send you some, I'm old and still love to cook and eat, but not as active. Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it 😆
Linna, I agree with your last comment that life as a housewife can be boring but there is much happiness to be found also. I am glad to see that you cook meals for yourself that you want to eat. DO you bake also?
The dinner in this video looked so yum, I wish I could have tasted it through the screen! I love figs a lot, we get mainly Mission Figs here, think yours was a different kind. I have never had a shine muscat (or even seen them in any store here in California, perhaps they are not exported?) but they look so delicious!!!
We had an heatwave here last week, it was the first time ever in September to have that. It cooled down a bit (though in the weekend the temperatures will rise again) so I'm trying to get the heat out of my house as we don't have airco here. Honey and fig are a great combination. They're on sale here now so I'll get some. I love them paired with raw ham. If you can't find crandberry jam perhaps the bon mamam brand has red current; that has a similar tartness. The shu puffs we have here as well, it's a traditional sweet called slagroom soezen (whipped cream puffs) we have them with powdered suger over it. The kimchi with gyoza and tofy looks delicious! I really should be making these kind of things for my lunch more often. A thick egg roll as sandwich filling is a great lunch as well. Spread the bread with some mayo and wasabi and it has a bit of a kick.
Japan is really expensive country compared to India… But on the other hand it is really well developed and clean 😍 In india we get daily groceries in 300 to 500 INR which is approximately 800 yen from local markets If you ever plan to come to India please do visit Mumbai ☺️
Great vlog as usual xx but i would love to know what that man is shouting about every-time you go into that store, not a Japanese speaker myself i have no idea xx
Hi Linna. I love your videos. I was curious about the noise in your grocery store. There seems to be a man always talking over a speaker. What is he saying? My grocery store always plays music. Thank you
Grazie x i tuo video molto interessanti qualità / prezzo molto conveniente 🤗🤗🫂🇮🇹. Mi piacerebbe mandarti delle marmellate dall'Italia e altri prodotti da farti assaggiarti 🫶
I don't think I could shop in that store..I would have a headache....the man in the background ,sounds so angry . To me ,it sounds as if he's telling everyone to evacuate the store as the building is on fire 😅 Whatever he's selling , you better buy it !!!! 😅 ❤ from Scotland
Shine muscats were $15 a pound US. Sent my oldest son for them and they were all gone. I am so upset. SEND SHINE MUSCATS and I will send you the rolling cart to save your back.
I like your humor 🤣🤣🤣 May be you can try your luck again ? I really wish you could try the Shine muscat. You would understand the reason why we love it 😎
