Thank you for talking about your life with POTS. It's a good reminder that I will one day get my life back on track, work again, and have energy to drive and leave the house again! I found your other POTS videos and your channel a few months ago while researching as I'm new to all of this. My symptoms started earlier this year after getting Covid. My life will be so much easier once I'm on meds. I'm still waiting for my doctor to give me the green light on salt tablets - I wish I could enter your giveaway but I will look out for this brand in the UK! For some reason I'd been imagining 'salt sticks' as being long sticks you have to suck on or something 😂
This could be because a food intolerance. My Dr told me to try a low histamine and gluten diet for example, I know the case of a woman who had a very light lactose intolerance, which she didn't notice and once she removed dairy from her diet she was much better
OMG REAL, I've always heard ppl with POTS describe morning time being the worse do to the sudden change from laying down to standing up. but for me I fell like I get more symptomatic throughout the day, especially if im having a flareup🤒
My Mum just ordered me the Vitassium chewables. I'm broke as well as chronically ill. I've been seeing Vitassium a lot recently and have been hoping to try it. Thank you for sharing :) Fellow Potsy girlie here 💕
thank you so much for his video im almost 15 and my cardiologist diagnosed me awhile ago and it been a process but u give me so much hope so thank u for being open everybody can agree this makes me feel less alone
Do the salt sticks work better for you than the other sodium pills you used to use? I use the ones you used to use, and it seems like they are not doing anything
I personally think these work better than the other ones I used to take!! Since they are made for people with POTS in mind I’ve noticed them helping me more. However not everything works for everyone so keep that in mind as well! And sometimes the effects can be subtle! Wishing you luck on your journey 💙
Do you have issues with food products that are not organic? I can no longer have anything with soy, msg, and gmo items. I used to love Domino's but they bathe their pizza in soy butter now and it makes me so sick it's like I went through chemo. Do you have issues regulating your temperature? This didn't just pop up but it wasn't a big deal until this year. I literally do not feel the cold until my body temp is way too low. I try dressing warm and I get too hot. In the heat we get triple digits and after fifteen minutes, my body is going way too hot. After getting heat exhaustion four times last summer, I had to stay inside until it cooled down outside. I had a cool rag on my neck and cold water and the ac running and still I couldn't handle it. I'll try those salt supplements.I wonder if that is why I get so woozy sometimes because I am that low on salt. Going organic on all foods probably didn't help. I just need some suggestions on how to adjust to this new normal. I've lived with this for a long time and it was gradually progressing but the past couple years it seems like my body is out of control. And my doctors either do not take it seriously or take forever to decide if they want to send me to a specialist or not..but they can't help me in the meantime. I feel like calling all the doctors around to see if they have ever dealt with Dysautonomia before because if they haven't, they won't be able to help me.
@Lowkey i got diagnosed my my cardiologist and I first noticed my heart rate was a lot higher than the average person and I was getting dizzy, light headed and tired all the time.
@Lowkey i personally haven't fainted yet (knock on wood lol) I do get dizzy randomly or if I get up or if i haven't had enough salt and electrolytes that day. I bought a heart rate monitor from Amazon and I use my fitbit to track my heart rate.
@Lowkey if they think it's anxiety then they aren't the right doctor for you. Dont give up and make sure your parents know what's going on with you. A lot of doctors are saying that they are getting POTs after covid too.
