It’s been 4 yrs since I found your channel. You were such a bright spot during Covid and after 4 yrs I still look forward to Sunday videos with Nicki and Carlo💜💜💜

Thank you for being here every Sunday . The world is so troubled and unforgiving today. Following you both reminds me that there are still good people in this world.

My heart goes out to Luca, your Mom, and all of you. Time is the only thing that helps with grief. And yes, let the young people be young. They need time to chill after a hard day, and youth doesn’t last forever! You don’t want their life to go by in a blur. You have such loving attitudes about all of this.

We've been watching you for years and are always incensed when people have a pop at you- you shouldn't have to defend your daughter and her boyfriend for not having the time to look after your garden so much! For what it's worth, thank you SO much for taking the time to make such interesting videos. We look forward to when we watch them if we can't on Sundays sometimes. I lost my Dad 4 weeks ago, he'd started tomatoes, beans and courgettes and today I planted loads of them in pots in my garden. I feel for Carlo and Luca, it's a strange new world ❤

Your giant apricots look amazing. I totally get Luca’s lesser enthusiasm for gardening. Calling up your parents and sharing your day to day life is such an important part of our lives and when we lose them, those lost conversations leave a big hole. Beautiful video. I’ve been thinking the family have been missing Carlo’s dad this spring. It sure leaves an empty spot in your heart and life. I lost my parents twenty years ago and my daughter from cancer almost three years ago. One of my grandchildren has leukemia but hopefully she will cleared of it. We must count our blessings and be kind to everyone. So glad you are working on a new book. That takes dedication and a lot of perseverance. I enjoyed your last one. People really are unbelievable sometimes how they can't take the word Road closed and believe it is beyond me. I feel sorry for all those people who had to walk so far to get to work. I'm glad the road is open now. It is interesting to me how you explain everything so carefully because I assume if you do not you will just get people asking you questions. My deepest sympathy to Luca and everyone. I can't imagine losing my parents. They are elderly and I know it's a fact of life but I can't imagine it. Nicki your father is amazing, and I hope you have him around for a long time. You and Carlo are the best parents. I've been to Sorrento, I was there on 9/11 having a Caprese salad when the planes hit the towers, and I also went to Portofino & Positano for just a few hours. I was emotionally in a bad place, and I don't recall what I enjoyed about my visit. I have been to Tuscany a couple of times and also to the Region of Umbria. Orvieto, Luca, and Sienna were some of the towns I enjoyed exploring. I've been to Rome at least three times, and I love Rome. People stop me and ask me for directions, and I always disappoint them by telling them I speak Spanish or English. Nicki, Will you and Carlo also be growing your vegetables in Tuscany? You inspire me to garden I have a small patio but I grow herbs and some veggies. Hugs to Luca and his family...be well.

Nicki, love the sunglasses! I have to admit that watching you, Carlo & the dogs walk on the "cliff" kind of took my breath away! Be cautious of the heat. Here in southern Arizona, we've been in the 100s for the entire month of June. Monsoon is here, so the higher humidity adds to the discomfort. Grieving the loss of a loved one is a multi-layered process. As the years go on there is still the sense of loss, but the warm happy memories come forth and add a small level of comfort. I am fortunate to own a little condo in Siena, and really enjoy watching your videos done in both of your lovely homes. I have had other similar videos suggested to me, but I must compliment you by saying how natural and easy your channel shows your life together. Nothing is overdone or overacted, and that is what people who have dreams about living your lifestyle want to see. Blessings to Luca , Carlo and all your brothers and Mama . Yes, it is hard, grief . Things fluctuate , grief fluctuates for as long as it takes. The loss of a parent never leaves your heart and as you said Nicki , often it surges back in a big wave ,at certain moments. Luca and Carlo being able to tell Papa what they were planting in the garden and suddenly remembering that their father has gone and they cannot share their day with him , anymore. All these daily activities are connected to love and loss. Sadly we all experience the loss of our parents , it is hard and effects everyone in different ways. Grief is an individual path. Have a wonderful Sunday, always a pleasure to follow along with you two whatever your week may bring, it's a nice escape for me here on my little horse farm in East Texas. It's in the 100's here now and I have a small pool filled with cool water in my Big barn for two of my Big dogs Roy Boy and Blanca along with 3 big fans. I spray my horses off with the water hose twice daily. I have a smaller pool in front of my baby barn down here at the farmhouse for my 4 ducks, my 4 cats lounge on the back porch with the fan blowing on them and all always with 3 big bowls of fresh cool water. Federico Fellini Falbo (Rico) my little Rat Terrier who's 10, gets to stay in the house where he's always comfortable! It's a lot for me to take care of and it gets really tough when the weather becomes an issue summer or winter! My knee replacement has gone beautifully and I see my surgeon for the 6 week check up on the 3rd, he's going to be so happy when he sees my rapid recovery! I have my left replaced on July 22nd. After I get my two new knees I'll be able to travel to Italy and walk all over the place with no more pain! Yay! Ciao!

I lived in Positano for a while in the summer of 1973. What wonderful memories. How they must go up and down a myriad of very uneven steps, everywhere I say I’m very impressed. I developed strong legs. I stayed on the other side to where Carlos and Niki live. They look towards my pension. My lunch usually was an enormous fig, a ball of fresh mozzarella and a piece of fresh crusty bread! Omg those are the best memories of Positano! I was a traveling artist! The path to the beach was over 425 irregular steps! Wow, I had to take a dip in the water before going up just to not to over heat! 🤣🤣🤣

Lemon Balm tea: remove the leaves from the stems of the plant, dry the leaves on a sheet pan. Boil the water and add the crushed dried leaves to the water and let steep for about 5 minutes for hot tea. Add honey if you like. I store the dried leaves in an air tight container for future use.

The mountains near Positano calapse due to the weather and pollution , its the same with Capri heading towards Anacapri they put metal nets despite that I still love it those rolling hills !!!...❤❤

I can identify with the falling rocks, here in the Pacific NW there are many mountain highways that experience rock falls, between that and snow fall the roads can be closed fairly often. My heart goes out to Carlo’s family, losing a parent is such a life changing event. My Mom has been gone for 10 yrs and my Dad for 1. Both fall in May, so this is a difficult time for me. I was very close to them and miss them so. Working in the garden reminds me of them, as we always had a big veggie garden every year. Make sure to trim your hydrangeas sparingly each year. The flowers come on the old wood the following year. I only trim the flower portion, leaving the wood (or stem) and am rewarded each year with a huge abundance of flowers. Mine bloom in blues and deep purples, love the, so much.

Mondays in NZ are better when we know we have your vlog to watch. Have been watching you for years and it’s our favourite time of day when we settle in and see what you and your family have been up to. ❤

I am a European by birth but lived in Toronto Canada for 68 years. However, whenever I am antwhere in Europe I am home. Seeing those gorgeous huge sweet apricots, I was back in my grandmothers garden, gorging myself on them, since WE NEVER GET THEM in my my neck of the woods. It's a long weekend here in Canada and only 16 degrees calcius at my cottage, ridiculiusly COLD. LOVE ITALY, north to south, many fabulous memories especially on the Amalfi coast.❤

I loved this video explaining things, showing us around, & explaining what is going on. Relaxed and just going about normal life. Beautiful drone footage. It has only been 12 weeks since Carlo's father passed away. 😢💔 The family are sad & grieving. Sending Luca, Carlo and the whole family lots of love. Perhaps the garden misses you both when you are away and the plants are sad because Carlo's father is in heaven now. I think nature is sensitive, more than we tune into. And each season and the weather changes. Seven years of plenty, seven years of famine as the saying goes. No, lets hope next season will bear fruits and vegetables again. Positano is beautiful scenery wise, but does have it's challanges too. The apricots look delicious. I love apricot jam. My partner & I just got home, we went to the Baltic sea for 4 days. It was spontaneous and very relaxing. On our way home today we stopped at an organic strawberry farm. I picked my own strawberries for the first time in my life, lol, which was so nice, it was my happy place for a few hours & I will make jam tomorrow. Scones, butter, homemade strawberry jam with tea. Yum. It reminds me of your dad Nicki. Making jams. I hope he is well and your brother. My back hurts after all the bending which makes me appreciate how hard strawberry farmers work. Let us be kind to eachother, lift eachother up when times get challanging as we all have our ups and downs. Being kind in the comments is our chance to be caring. Good going on your book Nicki.🎉 I wanted to get to Positano last year in July to buy your book but our trip in Italy was cut short because our camper van was damaged by the devestating hail storm at Lago di Garda. Maybe this year? Glad Carlo is taking a rest which is good to see, he worked very hard in Tuscany. Positano and Tuscany are beautiful in their own ways. It is unbelievably painful still. I know though that he wouldn't want me to be unhappy. He would say "cut it out" in his gentle way. He was the most gentle soul. The most *chill* person ever. Memories live forever, visiting in our dreams.

I always make myself get everything done so I can watch your video when I finally sit down after a productive Sunday in my daughter and my partner's yards. I love apricots and my mouth watered just watching you eat it. I could never grow them in WA state. My friend is growing a lemon tree which she puts in her garage in the winter and she has fruit. That rock slide shows how fragile your area can be. I was so fortunate to get a ride from Sorrento to Positano on the back of a motor bike with a new friend I had made while visiting. His name also was Carlo. It was a magical ride along the coast. Just breathtaking. I am still friends with Carlo on fb but have not see him in 25 years. Your bike ride brought back lovely memories for this 77 year old. Thank you.

Hi Nicki and Carlo. It broke my heart hearing about Luca. The ‘first times’ of anything, after a loved one has passed are always the most painful. My dad passed three years ago, he always had vegetables growing and was particularly proud of his tomatoes. Mum never worked in the garden. The first spring after he died she cried through the whole process of planting the vegetables , they grew perfectly, which made her so happy. As far as the kids go, they’ll do what they can. They’re young and busy doing their things and that’s how it should be. Thank you for sharing your story. Hope you all have a wonderful week. ❤Zeljka

Spending time in a garden when your loved one is gone can be a blessing but it can also be very hard. When I said goodbye to my soul dog who was my garden girl it took me months to process. We said goodbye in October 3 years ago and the next Spring I really didn’t tend things. I was so sad. I know to some she was just a dog but she was my family and friend. I found a way to hang a beautiful chime over her favorite spot and when the wind blows through I think she’s saying hello. It helped me get back in my garden. Maybe Luca and Carlo can make a memory spot in the garden to honor their Dad so when they are working in it they can have a chat with him. It takes time. Thank you for this beautiful video.

Such a lovely little town! I visited there last October and so remember the road from Sorento and the crazy traffic! A little peace and quiet is nice but what a huge inconvenience for locals and tourists. Thankfully the road is now open! The garden provides so much food for you and Carlo......a joy to see the beautiful French beans and those apricots!!!!! I'd be slurping them up just like you! Cheers!

I wouldn’t expect Skye and Nicola to take over the gardening. You and Carlo (and Luka) have years of experienceso can work efficiently to and know what needs are upcoming so make the most of the time available. They don’t. Not tonebtio. That planting and. Sting fir the garden includes eating and preserving the results. That’s a huge amount if extra work they don’t know as much about (ok, they know the eating part). . I bet if it was ONLY you two being gone, or ONLY their dad being gone, Luka might have worked something out with the unplanted areas and the two kids. But you two gone AND their dad gone is a lot to deal with.

I've been watching for a few year now and I love these videos, for me they're relaxing and I love visiting Positano and Tuscany through you and your lens. I'm glad to see Skye and Nicola doing so well and looking happy, I understand that the Summer season, especially is extremely busy for them and 13 hr days, well who really wants to garden, then unless you're a true gardener it can be more of a chore. My mum is a true gardener and spends a couple of hours or more in her garden nearly every day, but for her it's relaxing and enjoyable, also she's 86 yo and doesn't work full time.

Thank you for showing us around the garden! I love getting to see what's growing at all times of the year. It must be wonderful just being able to go outside and get most of what you need to cook a meal. As a lover of Zucchini, those are absolutely gorgeous! The leaves would be great for stuffing with ricotta cheese and herbs, and frying up in a club soda batter! Buona giornata!😋

Chop cauliflower is small segments, blanch is boiling water for 1 minute, spread on baking try, freeze for up to 1 hour and place in plastic bag and freeze. You can add later handful to your pasta . 🌞

I emigrated, as a Dutch citizen, to central Portugal 5 years ago and I do recognise a lot of your Mediterranean lifestyle and also your homegrown food!
