@@alanamikail721 a professional Nanny does not put children on social media, full stop. There are pedophiles out, why would you put out innocent young kids to that? what for? what does it give you? you are super unprofessional. Future employees look applicants up these days, you won't get a well-paid job. Just saying.
she is not professional, see my comments. If you want to earn good money you have to be more professional, she is a babysitter and boohoo for posting their faces online!
don’t do it unless you’re ready for some stress lol, it’s fun but it’s also a really big responsibility. always make sure to have boundaries with the parents of the children, working overtime without pay is not okay. and lastly be cautious of the age group you decide to pick, just an age you’re really comfortable with ❤️
I love this video so much!!! I never thought of having bath time after breakfast and playing outside! It makes so much sense! And I bet it helps them feel relaxed for nap time without transferring allergens from outside into bed.
It is not easy job 🥱🥱🥱i work as nanny too with 4 kids sending them to school everyday woke at 5am me, woke them at 6 am ,make them ready at 6: 45 leaving for school, doing house chores etc wth “no day off “u know middle east thing” its like u dont deserve a day off . Kinda disappointing to the hightest level .but from the bottom of my heart i love kids😍
You should definitely go for it girly it’s an amazing and rewarding job but u have to be prepared to not have a very active social life the kids become your entire life and they take up every minute you have to be prepared for that
Same, i am already really educated and can work with babies but i feel like people dont ask 11 year olds to do that so when im twelve ill start babysitting
I’ve been a nanny for 10 years it has its up and downs but it’s always a joy to see little ones grow and know that you can be part of there life growing up from diapers toothere first step too I here first tooth it’s so rewarding.❤
@@alanamikail721 Ok thank you! I turn 18 in december i just been doing research and things i need to qualify for a nanny job or baby sitting job. Def working on getting my cpr certificatation soon
That's what you call a nanny!! It's not the ones they have to do everything like clean the house to. That's a house keeper, and exploring to,you should never clean the house It's not your job, only the kids room and that's it. Good on you, never accept any other way.👍🏻
Oh dang… I’m a live in nanny and have to clean the whole house, including hand washing dishes because they don’t have a dishwasher. I work anywhere from 50-80 hours a week (random weekend times included). I’m slowly realizing that this is not it and next time I should probably join a company or something. At first I only got paid $200/wk but I just asked for a raise so now I get $300/wk. And this is for taking care of 3 kids (3, 2, 9 months). I’ve been doing it for a year and a half but I am leaving in about a month to go to a YWAM school.
@@jennifervinoya7822 no, I signed up with an agency in Brazil (Au Pair Care) and then I made a profile and had interviews on Skype with the host families who got into my profile. After I had the “match” with the host family I had to take my VISA ( J1 - work and study) and once I got my visa the host family booked my flight. I also had a training week with other au pairs from all over the world before we all go to our host families :)
Hey , so how long were you a live in nanny ? What were some of the boundaries you had to set being a live in nanny ? I would really love if you made a RU-vid video talking about your experience as a live in nanny and any tips you could give. I’m really considering it
I was a live in nanny for about a year, going into my senior year and then a little bit after I graduated. I didn’t set near as many boundaries as I should have, I wish I was more aware then. Unfortunately I don’t make RU-vid videos anymore because I don’t have a laptop to edit. But ask any questions you need. :)
Im a nanny for my mom! Im 17 and i have things stopping me from getting a job so I have this and my own business! I have to watch a 12 and 6 year old. When I tell you it’s hard it’s HARD. Since they are also my siblings it makes it worse lol. Love watching these videos!!
@that blonde babe Im getting paired by my mom to watch kids who make me feel like shit bc they are the favorites. I basically raise them as well. It’s nannying. Just bc they are my siblings doesn’t mean anything
You definitely helped me to see how this profesional looks realistically, I'm about to get a food handling certificate and a baby/child health safety certificate, and then I'll strive to become a housekeeping nanny!
I watch your videos all the time and I like them every day I watch them and I love your videos so much and I'm all ready a nanny I love to be a nanny the other day I had made breakfast and I did a niece hair and I played with her she's very nice and she love playing in my hair 🙂🙂
Is it tiring and stressful because you look tired. Also how much does a average nanny makes? And is the job worth the pay? Also how did the pay every month/week etc. I’m sorry I’m asking I’m looking to become a nanny.
This was two years ago, now I’m a caregiver at a independent nursing home. Every nanny makes a different wage, it really depends on what you and the family decide. For me I did not make enough and it was not worth it lol. I do love the kids very much though so that helped.
I have never been a nanny and I got a job recommendation I’m so scared to take care of other people’s kids 😭 what if I mess up or they hurt themselves and I’m responsible? 😭 Edit: I start on Monday wish me luck
@@alanamikail721 As a former flight attendant now a stay at home mom of 3, go for the friendly skies!!! It was truly a dream. There will be challenges but it is worth it.
So you live there but only work three days a week? Why do you choose to live there if you don’t mind me asking? Did you know them before you started nannying for them?
@@alanamikail721 thanks hun !!!I keep hearing bad things about care.com but will try.Do u know if u can bring your kid along with that company?New subbie btw❤
I know on care. com that some people whose kids are pretty shy will ask if you have a kid to bring along but when you apply for the job just put in your application or bio that you have a kid that would be with you
@@shawandahoward5648 I just found a family, had an interview today and got the job today also! I am very excited. Care.com was not very helpful for me. I used it for about a year and did not find a job at all. I would recommend searching on facebook. just type in your county or city and then nanny. Example: I put Raleigh Nanny/Babysitters and there was a page for locals who needed a nanny. Thats how I found my job.
Awe thank you, I would say definitely start with baby sitting, and then work your self up to nannying. Care.com is probably the best option out there. 💜💜
Care.com and sitter city are the best places to find jobs and actually know what you’re going into. If you use those sites just know what age group you’re most comfortable with. If you’re going to be a live in nanny just make sure to set boundaries with the guardian of the kids. You need a break too, that’s very important you don’t want to drain yourself. Besides that have fun, if you don’t like working with the family you’re working with within the first month start trying to find one you think you would enjoy better. 💜
Being a nanny? I enjoy it, it’s difficult but worth it when the kids show affections to me. As a nanny, I got to travel to Europe which was a good experience
Hey alana can you plz tell me how i can become a good nanny coz I don't have any experience with it and after I shift to canada i would really like to be a nanny so if there's any course or anything where i can get proper detail about it ..then plz inform me ...(Thank you)
I would say definitely start out with babysitting on care.com. You do need to have a love for children, and a ton of patients. If you don’t have those things being a nanny is not the job for you. I hope this helps and I wish you luck. 💜
I just love to stay around kids and yeah i do have a lot of patience that I want to start these job but don't have any experience so like where i can get such deep details about nanny jobs or is there any courses...coz i I don't know what food i should prepare for them or what activities there parents want me to learn them etc that why i ask you .... @@alanamikail721
The way I got my experience was mainly from my siblings, I practically raised them. When it comes to being a nanny all parents are very different with their children, so the activities you do with them is some thing you would need to discuss with them.
I got a offer to become a nanny in England I'm from Trinidad ,do u only work from 7to 12 everyday as a live in nanny I'm asking cause the job offer is for six month living in
Make sure you go over an in-depth schedule before you agree to the contract. Every family is different, for me I worked around whatever the parents wanted and I would not recommend doing that.
Good afternoon, I need your permission to use some clips in your video to my TV Program.. i am a one of the creative team at KISAH VIRAL GTV, don't worry your channel youtube's name will published too as credit video i'm waiting for your feedback, thank you..
Look into au pair agencies! Live for free in the US (or Europe) and you nanny for a family. Usually it's for a year but it could be more. You also get spending money for the weekends.
What a good video you know I love babies my great desire in this life is to be a father although the only thing is that I would not like to have to change diapers ha but well hopefully one day I can be a father
The children APPEAR well behaved. This was a nice video. I am not asking you what you made, but I am asking you what do you feel is a fair salary for a live in nanny in your area for what you do in a day. You mentioned on another post that you are caring for relative children, do you feel the compensation was equal to your work? I ask because I am looking to hire a nanny in my area and I just would like to have the perspective of another nanny. Did you enjoy being a live-in nanny? Do you think you would have enjoyed it more or less if it were not your family member?
I was most definitely underpaid, I made about $600 a month. I’m not really sure what a live in nanny makes, but I’m really hoping it’s more than that. It’s a lot of hard work I was basically the third parent. As a 17 year old I loved my niece and nephew with all my heart and didn’t really think about the pay too much. Now I’m 20 years old and I know that that was not right. I’m not sure how I would feel living with strangers, it depends how comfortable I would be around the parents of the children. 💜
If you are still looking/interested, I suggest joining some Facebook groups in your area for Nannies looking for work. It really depends on your area, level of experience, etc. live-in nannies are NOT allowed to be paid less than live-out (rent can't be taken off of pay) if it's a requirement of the job
The more experience the higher the pay. Any pay rate between $20-25 per hour id pretty standard. Area makes a big difference also. NYC has many higher paying jobs. $30-$35+ per hour is not un heard of.
