What sealer are you using? Coal tar or Asphalt Emulsion? If AE, which product? I'm just getting ready for this spring. Thanks.

We use coal tar based emulsion from Sealmaster. Congrats on getting fired up! Make sure you get yourself a solid website rolling and setup a Google My Business profile so you can start getting reviews and establish an online presence. How do you cool down hot asphalt before application? You just put water and wait ? Thank you Great video

Appreciated! Have (x2) 100' Flexzilla hoses that we hook up to the clients water spigot on the super hot days. The "Fan" pattern on any regular spray head is the perfect amount to cool the pavement right before the sealer goes over it. You don't want it to puddle or put too much down, just enough to see it change color (grey to black) quickly and have that "just rained" smell on hot asphalt if you know what I mean. Goal is to drop it down from 120F surface temps to around 80-90F for the ideal workability. One of those little digital thermometers is super helpful to in the truck to play around with it to find the sweet spot. Good luck!

Just realized you answered already - Black Diamond. Just subbed! I’m going to be starting up my own gig in hopes to quit my 9-5 down the line. Bought a 300 gal trailer in immaculate condition for $3800 and plan to start with buckets and brush. Your channel is a great resource and good content. Cheers bro!

My heart is a little warmer this morning; thank you! It's called "Black Diamond" fine shot blasting sand. This makes it so cars can drive right overtop the hot rubber, with less chance of tires pulling them up in the hot summer months & helps the sealer adhere better to the strips we lay down with it being gritty. A bit time-consuming but it pays in the end with fewer callbacks and happy customers! Thanks again for the sub!

Good on you, brother! Hands down was the best decision I've made to date. I started stupidly small and made it happen while working other part-time gigs to help fuel the fire. Happy to help answer any questions, pick my brain, or anything else you need help with! Sealmaster is my main distributor where I get my sealer/materials, and I see they have a location in KC, MO. That alone tells me there's a market for this near you!

Give it a look! Search for "Sealmaster", "Cracfo", "Neyra". Those are some of the bigger players vs getting it shipped in direct.

Appreciate the feedback! Tricky balance, some like the short form content and others like the longer ones. Try to keep the videos not too long to help retention!
