Twenty-eight-year-old Guilherme "Fino" Carvalho Montes swapped his corporate job as a production engineer in Brazil to study and chase waves on the Gold Coast.
After graduating from university in Rio de Janeiro, Fino spent three years managing the finances of a building and refurbishment company before he decided it was time to do something different. He enrolled into a Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30211) at TAFE Queensland’s Ashmore campus and says it was the best decision he ever made.
