Take it from me, I did elope back in 2002 with the Justice of the Peace and I will say, that every wedding I attended after that, I feel like I missed out and my dad missed out on walking me down the aisle. My dad died last December and now he'll never have that chance. I robbed myself and I robbed him. So pray about it and see what God wants you guys to do. Obedience 1st and everything will fall into place especially during a pandemic! God bless your union regardless of what type of wedding you guys have!

You may never read this, but I felt you when you were talking about the dilemma with the wedding. I was supposed to get married in November but pushed the wedding till April 2021. For now I am scheduled and will still be getting married that day but our guest list is super small with just the bridal party and our family. That way I can still have my day while still being safe. To be completely honest we don’t know how long this will last and we don’t have to deprive ourselves of feeling special and having what you’ve waited so long for and watch so many others get. I’d say keep the date plan it with the COVID restrictions in mind but also be prepared to just go head on and get married if that’s what it comes down to. Praying for you that you will have all that your heart desires.

My husband and I decided to just go ahead and have a ceremony only with about 12 people in attendance in March. It was perfect and I still had that "big day" feeling. We are planning the big event for next year, prayerfully.

In MY opinion, I think you can keep your day but this is a new normal with Covid. We have to do things differently. Tomorrow is so uncertain. While you have your loved ones... get married now , I say. Start your life together and have your big day later. We don’t know how soon we’ll get a vaccine or how effective it will be next year. We know God is in control and he gives us wisdom. I’m not trying to be a negative Nancy. You two have everything you need right now. God bless you and your union🙏🏽😘
