I really like it too - maybe not in the middle of winter, during covid. Such a pity I wasn't vlogging the first time I went through there in 2016 - it was gloriously sunny then and the town was so alive.

A nice honest vlog, depicting a sorry town, with not much to offer a weary traveler. You did get a warm hat and few pair of socks. Hopefully by Christmas eve, you've managed to find a nice roast and all the trimmings to make today pretty worth while. There are plenty of lone boaters out there, a bit of company, and good conversation could make a right festive occasion of it. Brits aren't that flash at organizing something like that. I know, you've all got your own boat, but really, you're all in the same boat. Couldn't think of a better way to fill in an evening. Well maybe I could, but. Hi Phillip. It's a bit of a funny one this year isn't it? I didn't really have any offers on the table so with things as they are I thought it best just to hunker down, plenty food, a few drinks and 3000 + pals on youtube - can't be bad.
Merry Christmas Johny. Can't believe it's a year sine I started watching your vlogs. Remember last Christmas Eve, the canal was flooded and you had to walk through it to buy your Christmas dinner.
I enjoyed your walk around Leighton. It’s a great little town with a good selection of shops and some lovely moorings nearby, both to the north and the south. The moorings in town are all CRT leisure; you’re not supposed to live on them and there isn’t much solar. The narrow gauge railway goes through town and I think they have a cafe.

That's one way of looking at it! Sometimes what happens is everyone moves after you moor and then you look like a right inconsiderate. Of course people might be giving each other a bit more space just because of the current situation.
This is such a poor representation of our town, a good few more independent shops missed out. I'm guessing you didn't have time to visit them all. Also just a note The Baker Boy on the market does sausage rolls.
