A Day in the Life of a Chicago Uber Eats Biker: Dinner Rush 

Shop and pay on Uber has been incredible for me (specifically grocery orders). Tons of high pay orders in my market. I realized that the trick to completing these orders on time is to not worry about items that the store doesn’t have, just substitute and move on. Yesterday, I got a tip increase on a shopping order and I didn’t substitute a single item in the app, I just pressed “item available” even though some items were unavailable. I just made sure the weight and price were similar enough. Can’t do this with organic items though, if the customer wants organic, the substitute must be organic.

Man stay safe out there. Some dumbass nearly took me out today because they decided the parallel park in the bike lane on elston during my dash Lol

I like taking walgreens shop & pay orders but jewel not so much cause alot of them have too many items sometimes.

Is 5-9pm your favorite? Do you have any specific times that you like to work for whatever reason?

Yeah Bro, it seem like the evening hours are just as slow as the lunch hours. This year not starting off that great. I was only able to schedule one day this week, but I have some business DT so I'll try to pick up some deliveries not expecting much, but you have to rely on your other hustles. Does Uber in general feel a lot slower this month? Its been unusually dead this month

I need to know the name of the bike and if you’ve done some upgrades to it and if yes what were those upgrades? Also did you apply with E-bike or a car but you’re using an E-bike instead? And how long did it take for you to get hired? And also do you lock your bike to a pole before going to get your orders?? I know it’s a lot of questions, I’m sorry, I really want to do this with an E-bike.
