Mechanical Engineering student at ASU taking a vlog so you guys can see what an average day may look like for a mechanical engineer. I will be posting more as not everyday is the same! Thank you for watching!
An average day can consist of many lectures and long assignments, however on this particular day the workload was not too bad and the day was very fun!

So I can't talk from experience about graduate international students job prospects, but I would say job prospects are generally already difficult right now and the best way to set yourself up for success is extracurricular experiences. Build a network, work on your own projects, and really put yourself out there!

My daughter was accepted and chose the engineering dorm. Any tips for freshman? Also, what type of laptop is that?

Hello! First of all, congratulations to your daughter for becoming a sun devil! The engineering forms are a great place to start as they are designed to allow students to collaborate through the first year and make starting friendships that will help through the next four years. The best advice I can give is the following: - become involved in the school (clubs, events, organizations, etc.). This will help in your resume as well as making great connections for the rest of college - establish a good support group with peers and create good habits that will last you through the more difficult years in the future. - make sure to go to office hours for your classes whenever you can. This will allow you to establish good relationships with your professors which you may have again in the future. It will also help a ton in clearing up any confusion on difficult subjects. Professors are also more likely to help if they can connect a face to a name and know there is effort put forth. HOPE THIS HELPS :)) The laptop is an HP Spectre from 2018

I really enjoyed the degree I got at ASU and all the extracurriculars available. Mechanical engineering is great because of how broad it is! I had internships in automotive, aerospace, private defense, etc. just because of that reason I think it still is a great degree to get into.

So sorry for not seeing this, but if you ever have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out. Best way to contact me is probably through LinkedIn. I graduated December 22’ and am now working in the aerospace industry. www.linkedin.com/in/fernandosarmientome

@@Vipersshorts it’s never too late to pursue a degree! In my classes there was one student who I believe was in his 50’s and he was very involved and looked to be enjoying it. I don’t know what the process is for someone older to enroll, but whatever it is I think it can definitely be worth it!
