Great to watch and listen to MM. As a fellow left hander with a similar style I have always enjoyed watching him play. This is an amazing sport that we play and his comeback proves that age is no limit where table tennis is concerned. I am 54 now and playing the best TT of my life with I feel room for further improvement still. Hopefully this will inspire others too.

Michael seems to be a great personality and a great sportsman. Love to see more games from him. Hopefully there are still some matches against Timo even though he confesses that Timo was most of the times a little bit ahead. Maybe Michael is creating also some coaching videos to share his experience and tt secrets.

If you show potential the right coach will find YOU. All coaches are looking for the next big thing and will try to persuade you to choose them over other coaches. The best method is to try different coaches until you find the one that inspires you the most and is in touch with the modern game. Remember, if you train 7 days a week and the others train 1 day a week, what takes them 7 years to learn it will take you 1 year.

Physically not too late but do you have the time to play 4-5 hours everyday, money, facilities and access to top quality full time coaching? That’s the hard part. A career in table tennis is much more likely through being a coach which is a lot more possible and perhaps just as fulfilling.
