Loved this video. I’m 73 and when I was about this young lady’s age, I had a pet bantam hen that I raised from a baby chick. I lived in the city, so it was unusual to have a chicken. She did a lot of the things this rooster does and I would take her places with me, as well. She was one of the best and sweetest pets I have had in my life. Very smart, too. So many wonderful memories. I still get a lump in my throat when I think of her. Thanks for sharing all these animal stories. God bless!

Dear The Dodo, I love your videos so much, I love how they tend to encourage kindness to animals, and in an adorable way! You always come up with clever tittles, and even include captions and little animation things(the ones for when an animal makes a noise) so def people can know what’s happening exactly, without the caption setting that messes things up all the time. Even people who don’t understand a word can see what word it is in the caption. I enjoy the little questions in the community tab, and how you educate people in an entertaining way. I am so happy that you make you “Pittie Nation” videos too, because a lot of people think pit bulls are “evil” and “aggressive” dog breeds, also I just love pit bulls. You are a great channel ❤️

This is basically me who is 16 with my rooster who is a Rhode Island Red, i hatched him with my homemade incubator made from a bucket and he was the only one who made it till 21 days and hatched out. We both are bonded with each other since he was a chick and he used to be in my pocket all the time and cries when he is away from me. He is always with his girls in the coop protecting them but he doesn't run away when I come to pick him and he always has something to say and makes funny noises when his is with me. He also loves to eat from my hand

@@hneebrn He might be trained or while indoors wears little nappies. I've seen other chicken owners train their birds to wear the nappies for newborns. It's kinda cute.

There are chicken diapers. If she had one that was color coordinated (black) I’m sure that’s why we can’t see it. You change out diapers every few hours, dump the contents in the toilet and hand wash the diaper then hang to dry. It’s really no different than having to change a baby’s diaper. It works well too.

Kudos to the parents of this very cool, responsible, happy teenager....doing the dishes....doing her homework....taking care of her chicken. This use to be the norm but these days a teenager like that is parenting goals.
