As you were hooking up the Santa Fe and unhooking all in sped up video you reminded me of a squirrel on speed. The lockout you performed went well and I agree with going slow and making sure you don't damage the door seals after someone else tries with all the wrong tools. Thanks Casey another great video.
I drove a sling truck in the 1980’s. We also had a diesel wheel lift. I remember the Volkswagen rabbit had the tow hooks just behind the bumper and use a 4”X 4” under the bumper.
Just got a job in a mechanic shop where we also do wrecker/towing/lockouts all that. Super excited. Been watching your channel a long time so hopefully it helps a little at least haha.
Very nice, I thought you were very quick in unlocking the Santa fe. I would probably still be fumbling with it. I need to have allot more practice on my unlocking skills.
You're a smart guy, with expertise in tucking, towing, and four wheeling. Do you talk to another trucker to fix your audio? No. Talk or consult with someone that has some expertise in the area o f audio pickup. I don't have the expertise either.
This is a good video of how to use dollies, even though it is not really described in detail. I do have a question tho, can i just ALWAYS use Dollies, so i basically don't have to worry about if it is a FWD, RWD, AWD or 4x4 ?!
@@CaseyLaDelle I should have remembered that coz I’ve seen many of your latest vids, but I’m catching up on old vids at moment so comment was out of date !🙄 Really enjoy the videos & the way you help anybody who needs it! Is the ‘Boss’ still coming out with you sometimes ?
The lock-out guy shouldn't be ashamed...happens to everybody at least once. I locked myself out of my first car so often that I became pretty good at breaking in! My Dad's '69 F-250 wouldn't lock unless you turned the key in the lock. NO way to lock yourself out... Some of these new automatic things (crap...) on newer cars are not necessarily improvements...
@@RedLightJhunkie nope, our wheel grids are made wider than the factory version so that they will easily go around any vehicle that’s legal width or less
Makes sense up there. Was looking at getting an older vulcan unit with scoop styler L arms like I used to have in milwaukee , just running the idea through my head if it be capable of the larger tires using those L arms. Now I'm in florida and everyone here runs a self loader , don't think anyone down here would know how to run a wrecker
Can you make 800 day in towing? I was thinking about towing probably coparts,IAA, honk trying to try something different being driving semi trucks for a min now
You will have to run your ass off to make that much in a day towing for any of the companies you listed, and at that point you won't be turning a profit.
@@CaseyLaDelle I can agree with that, we are struggling to make ends meet servicing copart in my home town. What do you recommend to make it profitable? We only have 1 wrecker.
Why isn't recovery truck common in US ? isn't it safer for vehicles? You just need to pull it with the hook!. Does it have anything to do with privacy not to open the car door and change the gear position or because of the most towing cases due to owners aren't there and designed to deal with door locked scenario without breaking in?
Yeah it's a recall. My friend has one that was making a tapping sound and then the dealer just replaced his whole engine under warranty before it seized up
You know what would even been better if you put your camera off to the side where we could see you putting the car dollies together and strapping it slow motion works good too so we can have a good video that's part of making the video we want to watch you do it in normal time keep up the great videos I like it I subscribe to you
1:50 My favorite scene. That driver damaged my car while unlocking it. But it's actually caused by someone like this man trying to get in. Pisses me off buddy.
@@RedLightJhunkie I'm a professional. 2.6 seconds I can be inside that vehicle. You're not telling me something I odn't already know. 20 yrs in the business.
The feedback on your mike is so bad that I am considering unsbscribing. I don't want to do that, but I will. I am a veteran of the US Navy and served in diesel-electric submarines that had FOUR 2000 hp diesel engines as main power. My hearing was damaged. Please repair your microphone problem.
