To most people that want to be negative and tell me my Pre -Trip was terrible. I performed Maintenance on my truck the Day before I recorded this video. If it’s such a big deal I can show you guys what a real pre-trip looks like in the next video.
I drive a Chevy Sonic as my daily, it get 38 mpg which is important since my big truck sits 58 miles from my home and I have to drive to it daily. I do the same thing, park my little car in the space to hold it for my truck when I get back in the middle of the night. We park at a little diner.
my deepest respect for all truckers. This people know how to really work for a living. Thank you for what you do to transport goods that we easily pick up at local retailers.
It is different in real life and much harder job then any truck sim in some ways better some worse i say look into it more and if you really think you can do it save up about 9k and get your CDL or you can go train with a company
@@protatort6345 I worked for UPS for 10ish years, was certified for package cars and if I wanted to go for CDL they would have paid for it. Dang never knew it was so expensive.
@@farwoodfarm9296 yea its not hard to train with a company there is just more to consider thats how i got mine i trained with CFI for free if i stayed for 6 months
My dad use to drive. I remember he brung my brother and I one time and he left us inside the truck , inside a building, with no ac on. Im 37 and was probably about 25-30 yrs ago. He was hauling coils of steel to Murray Ohio in Lawrenceburg Tennessee. I still have a love for the smell of diesel. That is some of the best sleep I've ever had , in the bed of a truck. Edit: it was mid summer when he left us and we literally almost died.
hopefully now people finally appreciate what truckers do. don't be greedy, let them over. truckers are a vital part of what's keeping the world going right now.
marshie1337 I respect semi drivers immensely. But I’m not blind to the fact that I have had MANY situations where I HAVE been run off the road and nearly ran off the road from said truckers. Some are great and others suck. It’s a part of life. I’ll do what I can to accommodate them but I won’t hold them on a pedestal.
I love watching people drive semi's bc they turn real hard I like that. And it's my first time watching you but I'm already loving your vids keep up the great work
This and other videos like a rabbit eating a watermelon, a cat trying to fit through a hole that gets smaller everyday, and a guy detailing dirty cars are why I am not dead from boredom!
Callahan Talks they have more work hours than any job and now they’re being denied working extra as well. The trucks are extremely expensive to maintain and it’s getting worse with these new unreliable semi trucks, and old trucks getting banned in some states. Considering all the money they have to put in, no, they don’t get much back. Company workers have it worst I think because they don’t make their own schedule, and get paid a lot less. In the end it pays off because they don’t wear down their own trucks but the freedom isn’t there. You also don’t get to come home often. They regularly take trips that last more than a month.
I prefer the point-of-view including the steering wheel rather than closer to the hood. I like to see the gauges, steering and most of all the shifting.
Trucker AK if he is looking for a better paying job he would go to an interview and interviewers ask questions like that all the time to get a feel for how they drive and what they are used to. So his joke actually makes sense. Don’t need to ridicule everyone on the internet lol
But if you drive 40 hours a week in a huge truck it’s probably very normal for them to have smaller agile cars because why would you want to drive a truck all week long then get into a huge pickup truck if you think about it it makes sense lol
I am only 12 and I am already thinking about getting my CDL when I turn 18. And these truck videos from u and other people and watching everything in and how stuff works in the trucks makes me think about more and more every single day Make me want to do to it more
When i saw the Smart at the beginning i was like "This is probably just another european trucker" and then i heard you speaking and thought you were 100% american. Until you spoke in bosnian... :DDD I was so confused throughout the video
pleasurewasmine OTR SUCKS LOL I WORK FOR STEVEN TRANSPORT MAN ITS REALLY TIRING. I DIs 1 year and 2 months before I switch to local company it’s fun but stressing
lonley lettuce I once did a 10 hour day where my tractor didn’t do over 10 mph because of the bumpy fields. I then jumped on my m/cycle and was doing 90mph in about 8 or 9 seconds leaning that sucker over on a smooth but winding road. Contrast like that can be intoxicating.
It's more like you get used to driving a big ass truck all day long, then you get in your car and you end up taking turns super wide, waiting for huge gaps in traffic before making turns, and chill in the slow lane. My parking has also gotten really bad in my car >.
Its not that many if you think about it 2 4 speed boxes on top of each other, with every gear having a half gear (which you dont have to use all the time) Match revs and youre golden
Man how do you keep the floor of your truck so clean? I'm always dragging in dirt even when I'm extra careful not to That coupled with my dog and I'm vacuuming the corners every other night.
Why do I love this video so much then the rest and the nigh dashboard looks so cool and you get a feeling like your sitting n a monster truck luv your vids btw ❤️💯
Thank you for the video keep it up! I plan on applying for trucking school when I turn 18 in 2 years and drive locally until I'm 21 then I'll haul oversize load
@@ogreezie858 if ur looking for more room or bigger vehicle the challenger rt is good but reliability and faster amd etc the mustang is better but of course cant really carry people in the back unless they are short
@@jcherrax Yea I’ve always been a mustang guy. Very nice cars and brand .. I only want a challenger for the look and design if I’m gonna be honest hahah. Yea I do like both.
I know this may not be heard very often but thank you so much for what you do. Truly, truck drivers are the backbone of how we get and send supplies for almost every store, online shopping spree, etc across America. My grandfather was a truck driver and the stories he has are truly incredible. Thank you for what you do.
I don't know why I feel so compelled to watch this video I literally do the same thing every damn day well the ones that I don't wake up in the back of the truck!
i turn the tablet off every time i leave the truck parked for the night and go home so when i come back and turn it on its still got some battery to it
Gena Don they still work with the ignition off. Trucks have 4 batteries and some have tri-packs which is a little Diesel engine that charges the batteries or the truck will start it’s self up to charge them. I’ve had an investor in all my trucks and can keep the fridge on charge my phone all night without a problem
You go from smart car to truck! That is amazing two totally different rides! I don't think it could get anymore different! The turbo on the truck is nearly bigger than the cars engine. You should line the car and truck up at the front get a picture! Just for size comparison! Also cleaver how you leave the door open so you don't reverse over it.
@@vincentwinters566 no I don't have a truck for real but I pick stuff up real fast! Please don't get the vaccine bro is most important thing I can say right now to you!
I was expect you driving a huge diesel Dodge Ram 3500 or F350 but nope it’s was a tiny Smart Fortwo 🤣 I love this channel Nice Truck and Detroit Series 60 sound good too
Bro I’m not even tryna pick on you but you can literally drive your car into your trailer and still take all loads 😂😂 great video I just got my permit so I’ll be out there soon! Stay safe!
