Follow me as I demonstrate a pretty typical day in the life of a college student enrolled at UW-Madison!
As you'll hear, I was hesitant on uploading this but I'm glad I did. I used this video both as a way for other college kids and incoming college kids to relate and to flex my creative muscles a bit

This is the most genuine college video I’ve watched. You described the ‘uneasiness’ of the first semester so well. I know it will help a lot of students. Thank you for putting in the time to make this and deciding to share it publicly.

1988 UW grad whose Son is going to Madison. I was looking for videos to show him what life is like at UW. You being honest about the struggles at first and then showing you with your floormates is exactly what i experienced at UW. Except the bus...dude, I lived in Lakeshore dorms (sullivan) and walked everywhere even when it was -40. You can do it! Leg day!

Wow this is a clutch upload, I’m at a hotel near UWM right now researching the school before I tour it tomorrow and I got in like 2 weeks ago for CS but still not sure if it’ll be the right fit. But I keep hearing good things about it and this video definitely helped. I love how you kept it real, talking about the good and the bad and not showing the big events that only happen every few months. Genuine question that anyone could really answer, but is there any more time needed to study, because if I’m correct the video only showed 1:30 hours of studying. Is that sufficient? Maybe it was not test season or the beginning of the year, but let me know (asking as a senior in hs).

generally no LOL when I made this this was the beginning of the semester of my freshman year where my workload was significantly lower than usual. I am now a sophomore and Materials Engineer where I dedicate 4 hours every day (a tad overkill maybe) to study throughly. Obviously it depends on you as a person but major/course load definitely impacts how much you might need to study but I can assure you that even with a tough workload I am still able to go out, have fun while doing the things I need to do. Hope this helps!
