You hear many say be the light you wish to be. Well sweet beautiful soul you are the light, thank you so much for all that you do and all that you share. I love this video as I do all of your videos. One of these days I’m going to quit making excuses and do what I so passionately want to do. I have the room set up I have plenty of supplies however I shake so much when I go in there with the intention to paint..... One day...🤗😘🤗
Gaynelle Beasley-West do it sweetheart!!! Your message truly blessed me and I am excited for you to begin your art journey. Just make sure you keep having fun along the way. Life‘s too short to not do what brings you joy!!!
What a wonderful video! Such a full busy life, you are awesome for sharing all of what it takes to do what you do. Thanks to your daughter in-law for suggesting and helping youI So nice to meet the family that supports you and your beautiful art. Thanks Susan!

Wow, you have such a beautiful energy. It seems you find the perfect sistem. Very nice area you live in. Best wishes
Thank you so much for this video. I love watching other artist in their everyday routine. It helps me feel that I can do it as a 55 year old artist. And I love to see how you store your work. I work in a small spare bedroom and it gives me inspiration to keep going and not give up because of my limited space.
DD Fletcher keep it up! I’m 56 years old myself. My art room is only about 10‘ x 13‘. So happy you are inspired and much success on your artistic journey.
Oh my word!!! This is so super helpful! I am a caregiver to my mom and have a couple senior dogs and always thinking I have no time. This is so great. I also got some great ideas too. Thank you again! I really loved it.
This is so valuable to me. I am so disorganized! I have paintings everywhere and don't know where most of them are. I am going to watch this again and take notes.
Wonderful Judith! I sometimes don't know if what I share is helping others so your message is a blessing to me. I hope to share more organizational videos in the future as well.
It's great to see the "off camera" side of an artist's working day. I knew there was a lot of work involved, but some of use don't realise how much. Well done to your daughter-in-law for the idea and the recording. I would like to see her filming you when working on a picture. Sort of behind the camera behind the camera, if you get get my drift.
What an awesome video, enjoyed every second of it. Thank you and Lorraine for sharing your day and making this world better with your art!!! ❤️ and overall thank you, Susan for all your valuable advices you are giving on your videos!
Enjoyed it so much! You are truly inspiring me... I wanna be like you ma'am. I am even sharing you with my friends and relatives, even though am an oil painter.. I love watchin and learning from you. God bless!
Saw you over on wildcard channel. And great performance either way. Really enjoyed it. And I have happily subscribed. And thanks for sharing your passion. I'm #hunterwrennmusic #hunterwrenn @hunterwrennmusic&vlogz And have a awesome day today 👍😇😊🙏🤘🎸🎸🎸
HUNTER WRENN Music & vlogz awesome and I just checked out your channel and subscribe. You’ve got a great voice. I play and sing myself and have some songs on my other RU-vid channel. Keep it up friend and I’m looking forward to hearing more.
I love this so much! What a joy to see where you work (love the storage ideas!), how you work--how hard you work! I loved "meeting" your darling family and adored listening to your daughter in law (what a treasure!) and seeing your house and animals. As always, you inspire me. :)
Just discovered your channel yesterday , Im hooked 😀 and although I'm not a pastel artist, and no where near as good as you, so many parts of your day resonate with me. New subscriber here.
I used to sign my name to my pastels with pastel pencils; CarbOthello specifically! Thank you for generously sharing your background process with us! BTW, where is your daughter-in-law from? France?
Great vid, Susan! Can totally relate. We have a rural property and my partner works in town from dark to dark, so I do my fulltime ceramics/art business from my garden studio as well as doing all the upkeep on the property/household. Every day is long and busy and I don't think people really understand just how so haha. Most comments are in the vein of "oh I wish I could stay home and do art all day".. 😂 if only it was just that. 💗
Hi Susan Well my fiance said that you have a beautiful home She told me to give you her regards and tell you that she too will subscribe ur channel We both loved the video Brother's asleep it's 3 am I personally never knew about how artists think Nd live But now that u've posted this video I feel lucky to have a great teacher and friend like you Stay safe and inside Love from India ❤️
@@monetcafe The honour's all mine To be frank no one tells where you should work more without looking at painting It's only the wisest who've made herself through hours of practice and study No one put tutorials telling about the details in depth because artists think that one would already know the fact Nd think this is silly But only the wisest knows that without telling about the mistakes one can never improve That's what I love about u U tell everything u tell that everyone is a winner U make me smile U make my life even more beautiful We are far perhaps only in distance I feel very lucky to have you My honour is my loyalty And my loyalty to your channel I something UK better about Keep posting more🥰 Love from India ❤️
I work on s TV tray in the salon of my sailboat. It about enough room to sit and put a few supplies on the table or beside me where I sit. I still manage to paint. It just shows you can really make art anywhere if you really want to.
Thank you so much!! I'm just starting to video at lessons for homeschooled children and this information was very helpful. Would you be willing to share a quick photograph of your piece of paper with the art flow process?
Vicki Beddingfield Hi Vicki, and that’s so awesome that you are doing video lessons for homeschool children. I’d be more than happy to send you a photo of my flow chart for my art business. Why don’t you email me at SusanJJenkins@gmail.com and I’ll send it back to you.
This is the new one that I just got and I like it much better than my old one. Hope that helps! Cheers. It's 5:00 somewhere. lol So, now you must share your chicken marinade recipe with us too, Susan, because you do not have enough to keep you busy. lol
@@monetcafe Sounds yummy. We love to cook/grill too, year round, easiest way and healthy too. Thanks for marinade recipe. Will make soon. We LOVE grilling chicken tenders as they are always so moist, no dried up chicken for us. lol
That’s actually really great question. When I don’t cut the paper I have the flexibility to paint outside the line so to speak if I choose to increase the size of the painting. Also, sometimes I make marks of each pastel next to a painting so that my audience can see the color choices. And then sometimes, I’m just lazy and cut the paper later. Ha ha!
@@monetcafe Thank you Susan! Those are great reasons to start on a large piece! Believe it or not, it's actually something that makes me stall before I start... deciding about the size. :)
Oh my goodness, absolutely! That’s the hardest part about this. There’s so much business to handle and videos to edit that it sometimes can suck your creative juices dry. Good observation… But I’m trying to balance it all out.
