Good video, I would personally cut out the mache latte as it hurts an otherwise helpful video. Sadly youtube is cluttered with day in the life tech videos that do not represent the true roles and instead focus on starbucks morning coffee, lunch at a fancy restaurant and then bed time unlike this video which has useful content.

I'm of the opposite mindset re: the macha latte. I think being a good engr manager is being relatable. Those people have lives too, you know, they are not simply robots pushing paper. The best managers I've had are those who show sides of their lives that are not always related to work. It creates camaraderie within the team, and fosters openess. If you're the type of manager who never goes out to lunch with their team, does not go grab coffee or whatever in the same spaces your reports do, they'll have a hard time trusting you because you're essensially governing from the glass tower. Show them that you're human too. Also, how exactly did that "hurt" the video? Did it make the video any less informational? Or are you upset that you had to spend 2 seconds listening to her getting coffee? Simply ignore that part if you don't care for it.
