A school resource officer is a uniformed law enforcement officer trained in emergency preparedness, crisis management, community policing and problems solving who is assigned to work in conjunction with a school security team. And as Susan Kenedy reports, here in Montgomery County, these officers wear many hats throughout the day at the schools they serve.
