Welcome to our channel! This video was a few years ago and Virginia is now married a year with a baby on the way. We did a video with her and her husband last week before they went home to Tennessee.
This is such an encouragement for young ladies! Great job in explaining the protection and guidance the Lord provides through our earthy authorities! So thankful for ladies like you that will be an encouragement to my daughters!
We often get questioned about what liberties Virginia has, and she's basically an adult in our eyes so she thought she would let people see what life is really like here. We have our challenges but we work through them together and really love being together.
Abigail gets to listen to that and enjoy her tent on Fridays, and the audio doesn't bother Virginia because they are talking in sign language. It's a perfect combo.
Yes we enjoyed that book thoroughly. Grace Mally wrote a book on evangelism that she sent me years ago, she married a wonderful Christian young man. It's great to see these home educated children grow up and serve the Lord in wonderful ways.

We also have "Before You Meet Prince Charming" but I think my daughter's are just a couple years too young for that book at this point but I'm ready. 😉. My oldest daughter, 8 years old, are doing Sarah Malley's (can't think of her married name right now) Strong in the Lord study.
Thanks for the offer, however, it will not be needed. I have my own bus, camper, money, life skills, etc. The thing is, I don’t want to leave. Being a stay-at-home daughter is my own choice, and I am very happy here. My family helps me pursue my goals and I am thankful to God for the blessing of being a stay-at-home daughter. I can’t wait to be married, but until God brings the right guy, I’m happy to stay here.
This is a really nice video! I love that you serve your family during your post-high school years! I did the same thing. I just wanted to clarify something you said quickly. Did you say your friends are LDS missionaries? Is your family Mormon, also? Thank you for clarifying. I don't want to misunderstand you. 💜
Thank you for asking, sorry if I was unclear in the video. I do have many friends who are LDS missionaries. I and my family are not LDS, we are born again Christians. (Currently we attend a Baptist church.) God has given me a love for the LDS people and we meet together to discuss the Bible and the Gospel. While we come from very different beliefs, (a different God, different Jesus, and different Gospel,) we love having discussions together. It may be unique, but we are the sort of friends who can sit down and say, "I don't believe the Gospel of the LDS church can save, let's open our Bibles and discuss what God has said about how a person is made right with God through faith in Christ apart from works." We have great relationships and are able to have great talks. So yes, I have friends who are LDS missionaries. No, we are not LDS.
I feel so bad for women who believe this is the lifestyle that they have to live. What happens if stay at home daughters never get married? Marriage is not a promise in the Bible.
Good evening! To begin, please let me clarify, I chose the stay-at-home daughter lifestyle for myself. My parents of course agree with that and are supporting me and encouraging that lifestyle as we see it as being biblical, but when it comes down to it, it is something I have chosen for myself. Being at home has given me so many opportunities. I am not tied down by a job and bills, etc. My father provides my needs and wants (chocolate being high on the list of wants). Being cared for in this way gives me time to devote to ministry. Not that I am always doing things apart from my family, but since I live in a home with others, we get to share and serve one another and I do not have the full responsibility of my own home right now which gives me time to study, write books, do ministry, talk to missionaries all over the world, etc. You are correct in saying that marriage is not a promise in the Bible. We see many women getting married and it is my desire to be married, but I know that marriage is not promised to every woman. If the Lord sees fit to give a young woman the gift of singleness, I do not see why she could not choose to remain in her father's house. We are not trapped at home, we are blessed to be cared for and loved and part of a family, even if God does not choose to bless us with a husband and children of our own. My sister in Christ, Cindy, wrote me a message and I hope it will help address your comment: "As I’m sure you know I Corinthians 7:32-35 teaches us that an unmarried woman can serve the Lord in ways that a married is not free to. She can serve without “without distraction”. I see a lot of young women who grow up in conservative Christian homes, being home schooled & just sitting around waiting to get married. They are wasting precious years that could be used in deepening their walk with the Lord & being fruitful in their service for him... What disturbs me is seeing young Christian women putting all their hopes in getting married. While Christian marriage is a beautiful gift from God, I believe singleness should also be viewed as a gift from Him. So my encouragement is to leave the “if” and the “when” of marriage in your Father’s loving and capable hands, and serve the Lord with all your might & seek to know and love Him with all your heart while you are young." I am looking to marriage, but my fulfillment is found in Christ and serving Him wherever He has me, whether in my father's home, or my husband's home. ~Virginia
