Spent 6 hrs in the sail at sea state 4 w/ a headache. Still had the headache after ⌚, but felt refreshed. 6 hrs of a-1 fresh air bring back memories on the Dallas.
Hooyah!.Submariners go where most people will NEVER go. With gratitude to these undersea warriors for being deterrents to countries that could harm us.
Who changes sheets when hot bunking? Sissies! *s/ Retired 24 Year US Navy Submariner - USNA Class of 1965 - Former Enlisted Man* PS When using the head, start the flushing water *BEFORE* opening the dump valve....
A good way to see the world? WHAT? Gee, through my five patrols on my boat I got to see Kings Bay (where we deployed from). I got to see Flores Island in the Azores... from a few miles offshore for a personnel transfer. I got to see Bermuda, also from a few miles offshore for another personnel transfer. I got to see Barbados through the periscope. And I got to see Fort Liquordale twice.
@Jordan Rodrigues It can get that way with fast boats too. Not common, but if you get a seventh fleet admiral that loves to take backsies on promises of Singapore and Thailand and, instead, give you Siapan over and over and over and over....and OVER again.... So yeah....happened to me on a 688 stretch.
