Those Turkey babies are so cute following you! You rock sweet Mama! I remember the baby days..they pass all to quickly! Enjoy and be blessed❤ BTW, Junior is an excellent baby sitter. It’s sweet to see a brother so tenderly care for a baby sibling. You’ve done well!

Thank you Amy!🙂 I used to work in resautant kitchens for many of my working years. That little tomato tool is called a tomato shark. Seems apropos too. 😄 Gosh! Just like last year, it's been hovering around 100° for about 2 months so the garden has really struggled. Your garden is lovely! 😍 Blessings! 💚

somebody said they are now making the Ball jars in China and they ae thinner now. So i think you are right.👍

I have noticed that my ball lids are not sealing very good and are popping after being on the shelf. The last 4 cases of jars I've bought have been thinner and have alot of bubbles I them. Some of the bottoms are misshapen. I also have lost some because of the bottoms breaking off. 😔

Hi Sandra. I've heard that from more than a few canners. It's my understanding that our lids have been coming from China and their quality has markedly declined. I've been hearing about an American made company called FORJARS with good reviews. You'll find them online. I've had lids stockpiled so I'm not there yet. Hope this helps. Blessings!💚

When jars break off the bottom, it’s usually because of them being shocked from a sudden temperature difference. Like, maybe you put jars with cool ingredients in a canner of hot water, or something similar.

@@patbury4642 I believe you don't give folks much credit, Pat. Even a novice would know this isn't a tutorial. It would be much more in depth if it were. And, just my p.o.v., what Americans call 'safe canning' is over-processed. Only like 6 people in the last 100 years has reported botulism. Doesn't sound any more concerning to me than catching the flu.

@@trishthehomesteader9873 Your statistic is just not true. I was actually referring to the squash in the sauce then steam canning. Squash is a low-acid vegetable so that sauce needs to be pressure canned. Also tomato sauce is processed for 40 minutes for quarts so according to the manufacturer it cannot be steam canned. Those are all things that a novice sees in that video but would not know are wrong. It is not a tutorial, it is a visual record of how she canned it with no disclaimer.

@@patbury4642 Maybe you're unaware that people have been canning for generations without pressure canners. How do you suppose that we're still alive? As Amy said, you do what you want in your kitchen. My kitchen; my rules. You cause yourself much anguish by always following rules others have lain on you. Blessings!💚
