The triplets make it to the beach for first time! (priceless reaction)
A day in the life, Chatfam California version. Cara grew up living on the Oregon coast, and the beach has always been a big part of her life growing up. She couldn't wait to get Gemma to a beach who went at only 6 weeks old. We finally made it to California and we are staying within a 10 minute walk to the beach. We loaded up the 2 double strollers and headed off to the beach. We couldn't wait to see the triplets reaction and what they did when they saw the ocean water for first time. When we got to the beach we realized the strollers wouldn't roll, and had to ditch them at the front of the pier. We then carried the triplets and Gemma and all our towels, blankets, and beach toy, and made our way to our beach spot. Even though it was a super overcast day, without much sun, it was still beautiful. The triplets reaction to the beach and sand was absolutely priceless. We have never seen them so happy and laughing. They just kept belting out screams of joy as they looked around and saw everything, and they couldn't stop sifting sand through their fingers and just staring at it (and eating it oops). It was such a fun, special moment as a family, and we are happy they loved it! We have a lot more beach trips coming up :)
Gemma also throws us back to a week before our California trip, at a party where she got her face painted and got to jump jump jump! Jump around! Then lets us join her for her important "doll time" where she role plays by herself for hours with all of her preinds (Gemma's cuter version of friends). Daddy happen to capture a fraction of it on a hidden camera around the corner. Her imagination is growing every day!
Darik teaches us the correct way to ride a California electric scooter, and push 2 babies at the same time. Innovation is key! We grab some dinner after the beach day, and allow a stranger who has been struggling with fertility treatments, to hold one of our triplets for awhile while we ate, and she was so happy and said it made her night. We also gave her some good vibes that they will be successful soon in having children of their own. We finish the night off with bath time, where we have to bath multiple kids at once in the shower. And finally before bed we get to watch Gemma entertain us with her wild personality, that just keeps us laughing nonstop. We love that girl with all of our hearts. A day in the life, California edition was a success, as we learn to adapt to life in Air Bnb living. We are having a blast here in California so far, and can't wait for more adventures while we are here!
