I am 79 years old. I know lots of Bulgarian Americans and Iohan, although Bulgarian Canadian is one of my life's heroes. His spirit of adventure and kindness will live in my heart until my last hour. Like my deceased best friend Don Gould, an outstanding human being with the heart of a lion, a kind lion.
I'm always struck by the realization that somewhere 'out there' you're really doing this day after day after day. You are truly an inspiration and remarkable in an age of ease and comfort that knows very little of the value of endurance.
영어를 몰라서 무슨 애기를 하는지..모르지만.... 여기 채널에 영상을 보면 그냥 기분이 좋다. 감사요^^ I don't know English, so what are you talking about?I don't know... I just feel good when I see the video on the channel here. Healing!! Thank you.
The world is a much much sadder place without you Iohan. By sharing your crazy-almostimpossibleadventures- with anyone willing to listen and open their eyes...you made us richer and happier than most. RIP Iohan, I will continue to mention and talk about your trip from AK to Argentina for as long as I have a breath left in my body.
It’s good to leave segments with no music so we can have the sensory experience(well at least part of it) that you have when cycling for miles and miles and miles
Hey, Iohan, so nice to ride with you, again. So nice to hear the lilt in your voice, again. I enjoy the ambient breaks without music as it brings me right into your experience. I get it, your love of being alone in the wilderness, your drive to push yourself to your very limit. I, too, lived that life in my youth but I am old now and that time is gone. So, I bless and thank you for giving me the opportunity to ever so briefly be in that space again, vicariously, through you. Know that you are loved and travel safe. You are my hero!
man.. do I love this guy, he can raise my spirit like nothing can do. After 10 hours of working, sitting down for dinner, seeing Iohan has uploaded a new video... Thanks man.
This kind of travels is an oportunity once in life and you take the chanche. Not many people do this. Not everyone con do this. You are living the dream of most of the people will do but they always says excuses. Enjoy the ride. And I want to do a question. How do you feel when you know and live that every day is unique? It´s a hard feeling or for you feels another day? Think about it because every day you wake up in a diferent place. Cheers and big hug.
I enjoyed the behind the scenes parts. I’m constantly amazed you can continue on with no brakes crankset shot now rear gear set really sounds hashed. Cold wet windy low food no water. And Lohan somehow keeps his good disposition. Safe travels.
One of my favorite musicians is a man named Hillary Stagg, he plays a harp. He has a song named “Simply Beautiful” and this video reminds me of that song so much. Thank you for sharing.
I’m so glad we share some same routes in Argentina I’m still trapped in Argentina waiting quarantine finishes I hope this will finish very soon because I want to go to Bolivia I haven’t gone yet and when I watched your trip there, I got excited! Thanks for sharing with us the amateurs bike travelers Take care amigo!
Your videos have a way of making me feel better about things. Today was rough and this helped a lot. Thank you, really, thank you. I decided to contribute a little to your journey, even though i am quite poor.
Hi Iohan, thanks once more. Beautiful impressions...😊 I love it. By the way thanks also for showing the "fight" with your drone. I'm glad now knowing that I'm not the only one "fighting"...😉. Happy Christmas for you. Frank
Iohan: Well you are in Argentina so here is my message on Spanish: "Tus videos son terapia para el alma" ; (Your videos are therapy for he soul). Well done, thank you for sharing. Buen Camino.
i really love your videos without music Iohan, i really do love the crackling sound of the bike hitting the road, the wind, the nature have beutiful; sounds... Stay safe mate.. :)
Most of us will never go where you have been and where you're going next. I ride a fat tire E bike over the sands of the Mojave Desert and marvel at your physical abilities. I know I would crash and probably break bones on some of the trails you've traveled. As it is, I end up falling on about ten percent of my rides. Riding a bike, even an electric one, on mud, snow and ice, over water, and in my case powder dry sand, requires special balancing abilities which you definitely have. I stand at attention and salute you!
Hi Iohan, you know I've been here for a while now and I did not think you could improve on the quality of your videos my dear but ... this one has me in tears .... to hear the sounds of the roads, bridges, the birds and sheep, the snow ... the mountains ... the cloudless sky .... your voice .... extra special this time around. You must be well rested. Take care my dear, stay in your protection bubble of prayers. And most of all ... Thank you for this moment.
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing! You need a bike with internal gearing and belt drive so you’re not always having derailleur\gear issues. That’s got to be a pain in the ass.
I like all the road noise and all the noise of the bike it just something that I like and I think should be a part of all your videos it makes for a really humble soundtrack
wonderful footage!, I just realised you've uploaded this today, makes it so much more real / impressive (I mean I jus did some groceries today in a supermarket etc ...), the drone shots do add a lot, so try to keep it working 👍🏻
So weird, I had the exact same Doite pack cover on my pack and kept in the same place my whole ride of the Carretera Austral. Rain protection + increased visibility!
Meanwhile, in British Columbia Canada, we have a bus strike with long lines and rotating shifts, and drivers are wearing street clothes, switching drivers, so far people are being extremely peaceful to date, thankful of bus drivers, neither less, Iohan, your on the road less traveled and I enjoy your travels and drone shots and vlogging, I look forward to seeing you ride through Chillie, and your not missing much in Canada! sending peace!
Hi Iohan great to see you again! So I've been watching, well as far as I know, all of your adventures, but I'm often left with the same enduring question... Why? Why are you doing this, what can drive a man, not to take adventures, this can be understood, but to live on the adventure. Perhaps it is not something you want to talk about or maybe I missed it in one of the early episodes, but I wonder if you would indulge me in asking you to talk some about your past and the reasoning that drives you forward. Maybe some reflection on where you come from and some in where you wish to go, I suppose it can't be overstated how many of us are so simply in AWE, as in you are just an Awe-some testiment to the human condition, the need some of us have to be alone or more to the point, to be one with the it... But at the same time to share videos or... To comment on said videos... And know by the response that we are not alone. That we are one with the entirety and it is one with us. May this message find you well and bring wellness to you! Thank you as always, your dear friend Adam!
Brrr. That looks like north dakota! Fat tires, nice rack& panniers?brrrrr. Ive never been happier to be home& cozy warm. That looks desolate. Stay safe& warm of course.
I’ve always wondered: do you ever get super lonely out there? Have any moments of weakness and feel like giving it up for a more conventional life? Just curious.
