Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Thank you guys so much for vlogging your experience in Rome. I went to Rome back in January after being in remission from Stage Two Breast Cancer and this brings back the happiest of memories of living my life to the fullest. I love you guys

Espresso is supposed to be in such a tiny cup and is a very normal coffee standard in Italy but also Turkey. Here in the Netherlands we have normal coffee and mugs ;) Rome is great, but Italy has so much more to offer! Go to a local trattoria, the food is even better!

Thank you! We took your advice and grabbed lunch at Est Artigiani del Gusto and LOVED IT. The owners were so nice and helped us with our food and wine parings. We mentioned that we had stopped in based on your recommendation and they laughed as you were there many years ago but they remembered you. Amazing food and service and one of the best meals we had on our first trip to Italy!!

Late to seeing their videos, but I've been to Rome two times and will be going back! It is the most fascinating city as their are antiquities on every street, from old churches with saints relics in them, to fountains, sculptures, paintings from the most talented artists ever to walk this earth. Go to Rome you will not be disappointed! "It takes a lifetime to see all of Rome."

Great vlog ! I read Dan Brown's Angels & Deamons just before we went to Rome. It gave an extra dimension to our trip since you come across all places you recognize from the book. The Pantheon was my favorite !

I went on a trip with a orchestra to Italy, and one of the cities we went to was Rome. The church you went to (12:54) was the church we performed in about a month prior to this video. I just find it so amazing that I started watching your videos about half a year ago, but our trips were so close to each other. I love all of your videos so much!!

What Europe lacks in quantity of coffee they make up in quality! We visited Rome in April of 15 and seeing the huge crowds I'm glad we did it then slightly off season. Look forward to a return trip and will definitely head to your lunch spot. That looked awesome and just the type of place my wife and I love. Thanks!

Loved the music choice for today's vlog. Rick Steves is great! Really enjoyed the trivia you shared! Again, so impressed with what amazing builders the ancient civilizations were (Incas, Romans, Egyptians)! I would have had to abandon the food tour when you came across the cellist performing so I could stay and listen to them.

Rome is a beautiful city. Lots of history and amazing walking city. Everywhere you walk is a piece of old history classroom lesson. I love Rick Steves! He has a lot of Italy audio tours. Including museums and food culture and Florence and walking tour of Rome.

My wife and I found a little restaurant near piazza navona called pasta in corso and it was the best food I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t be tricked into eating at places by the main attractions because the prices are inflated and the food isn’t as good. Find those little shops and you’ll get an authentic experience and you’ll love it!

Kara and Nate and I told you I lived in Germanys oldest city, Trier. Settled by the Romans more than 2000 years ago, called the Rome of the north. . Still lots of Roman ruins there. Coliseum, baths, etc. highly recommend going there for the sights and great white wine for the Mosel river!

Ok so here is one thing I learned about Italian pronunciation that is super helpful. Vowels i and e change how the consonant before is pronounced. Ex. Ciao c is said as a ch sound. Or 'che' ch is said as a k sound. Also sci sounds like she and schi sounds like ski. Same with gh/g goes from the g in good to the g in george. I think those are the only types of consonants that change. ????

LOVE this video!! Rome is one of my absolute favorite citiies!! The food, the sights and smells, the history - it's just magical. One question though - unless you didn't show the lasagna, are you sure it wasn't ravioli??? It looked like ravioli :)
