Are you interested in a 3-day trek in the Basque Country?
We took the plunge in April 2024, departing from Sare. We discovered the most beautiful Basque landscapes: La Rhune, Zuhalmendi, the peak of Mondarrain, and two "most beautiful villages in France": Sare and Ainhoa...
On the second day, we walked along the trails of the old GR®8, now partly "GR®P Tour du Labourd en Pays basque", between the Zuhalmendi summit and the Zuharretako pass, passing by the famous peak de Mondarrain (with a view of the highest point of Labourd, Artzamendi).
All day, we walked along splendid paths surrounded by small Basque mountains, green, rounded and inhabited by numerous sheep and the famous pottoks, the Basque ponies. In the distance, the view of the coastline was immense! We made the most of it, before the rain and storm hit us... You will also discover these more difficult moments in the video. Our end of the day, in difficult weather conditions, will remain engraved in our memory.
But these are the hazards of the trek! And we still loved this stage in the fantastic landscapes of the Basque Country and I am delighted to share it with you in this new video!

WHO AM I ?
A mountain and trekking enthusiast...
After 3 years of living in the southwest, during which I had the pleasure of discovering the beauty of the Pyrenees for the first time, I started roaming on foot: setting off with the tent on my back for adventures. trekking in the most beautiful landscapes of our country. Little by little, a slightly crazy project came to mind: one day, I will cross the Pyrenees on foot, via the GR® 10, from Hendaye, in the Basque Country, to Banyuls-sur-Mer , feet in the salt water of the Mediterranean.
It was in 2022 that I set off on these difficult but splendid paths of the Pyrenees, for the most beautiful adventure of my entire life. A physical challenge lasting more than two months which also deeply attached me to these mountains. And after a year of walking all over France, I naturally returned to settle at the foot of the Pyrenees in 2023. A new life is now beginning, with the desire to share with you the joy of walking on these mountain trails.
