GIVEAWAY UPDATE for the Sony Zeiss 55mm f1.8 Lens. So some of you can't leave your IG handle (RU-vid seems to delete it if you add your Instagram handle) so Any and All comments will be entered to the giveaway. In 2 weeks time on March 20th, I will announce the winner on my Instagram story so if you see your RU-vid handle and comment, just shoot me a DM! Anyways thanks for all the love and support!
I would like this 55mm lens as it is small and portable to bring around for portrait shoots! And it’s a nice focal length to include a little more background elements with a nice touch of bokeh
Amazing video. I always enjoy watching how you are able to create the scene. I really like how you add the settings you used when taking the photos; it's always a learning experience. After watching your portrait series or street photography series, I'm always inspired to go out and take photos myself.
Thank you Matthew! Yes the first episode didn't have the settings and it was highly requested. So if you ever have any ideas which could make these episodes better, I'm all ears! :D glad to hear it has inspired you! and thank you agin for the support!
Hello Kohki, i’ve been following you for 2 years since Jessica Kobeissi video. i like the color of your photos, it’ inspired me a lot when i’m about giving up on photography. I am an amateur photographer shooting for my family and friends using an iphone. With a 55mm, i’ll be able to have a full frame camera with great quality picture. I hope i’ll be the lucky one because i’m trying my best to be a pro photographer!! Anyway, thanks for making great contents so far!!!
Been enjoying and learning a lot through your videos and these a day of portrait and street photography has been nothing less than a relaxing therapeutic sessions.. really love the content.... 1mil soon 💪🏻
Thank you! Im glad you're enjoying it! I will probably do a street EP again when it rains so its really cool. Appreciate the continued support and love. hahaha
Great video 👍!!! Liked how you used black paper to block out the lights, gave an interesting tip. Thanks for providing informative content !! I would love the 55mm lens as I do not have a prime lens at the moment and have no Low aperture lenses. I love shooting human, products and stars ⭐️(milky way), thus having the lens would be a great help and a great step.
Always love the Potrait Episode. and the last location is siiccckk. Great Concept and thanks a lot for always put your camera settings on each photo. .
Location 3 is 🔥. It all goes well. Including the EOS and Nikon Ad 😂. Black mist effect is really something! Zeiss 55mm was my first lens and I really love that lens. Sad thing is I sold it to try other prime lens. So I'm hoping to win it 😊
Every frame of this episode is a work of art! The music, model, location, photographer, everything is perfect! This really drives and inspires me to take more photos! この素晴らしいビデオをありがとう!Looking forward to your next videos!
Nice shots, Kohki! Love the BTS and creative use of simple tools like a piece of paper to dim the lights. Sometimes you really have to think outside the box and be creative with simple things and experiement. Thanks for the inspiration! The 55mm would be a great addition to my kit as it’s a very versatile lens suited for nearly everything I shoot, basically travel and the occasional portrait of friends and family. The Sony Zeiss would definitely be a step up from the current budget one I use ^^
I love your work ! Your street and portrait photography are really inspiring. I would like to ad that Sony Zeiss 55mm f1.8 Lens in my kit for street photography. It's tiny, perfect for being discreet.
These are some BANGERS after BANGERS man! Would love to see more of these photoshoots. I would love to win this lens cause i dont own a prime lens and maybe this would change my photos to another level.
In 2019 I went on a trip to Japan which was the reason I bought a mirrorless camera. let’s just say since then I really got into photography. At first it was a lot of street photography but after I started watching your videos I really got into portrait photography. Having the 55 mm 1.8 would really help with portrait photography and give me that nice bokeh. But keep up the awesome videos, I literally look to see if you posted a new video every day. 🤙🏾
Wow, that last scene looks so incrediblly fun! I'm so inspired, I have a roll of cinestill 800t and so desperately wishing I could be there to try it! Thanks for making such an awesome video!
Hi Khoki, I am Hendrik from Singapore! I am a huge fan of your content and your photos and videos always inspire me to get out of my house and take photos! I've recently taken photography more seriously as I really enjoyed the process of exploring new places (even though I'm born in SG), taking photos, editing and making my friends go WOWWW whenever they see my edits. I love taking portraits and streets and I feel that 55mm is a nice focal length to cover everything that I take. I am also planning to upgrade my camera to Sony A7III so this will be the perfect chance to add the 55mm lens into my arsenal. I really hope to win this lens and level up my photography and videography skills and hopefully be as good as you one day! Cheers and keep creating awesome content!!
Thank you Hendrik! oh wow you're in SG! I love SG haha what you mean boring! I think the 55 is a must for everyone. good luck with the giveaway but I am also trying to do more and bigger scale giveaway in the future so more can win. A good way to give back. Stay safe and stay curious :)
Was very excited for this video! Those photos are amazing! Specially those neon portraits. I just started my photography journey with Sony. You inspired me a lot! I've watched your video so many times 😂😂 and still didn't get bored. This Zeiss 55mm lens would be absolute perfect for me. This lens is incredibly sharp and very compact. And as always Zeiss optics are always top notch!
Thank you for the wait! Im so glad you're now shooting on Sony as well! haha thanks for re-watching my videos🤣 Yesss it sure is a beast of a lens. hard to beat this one.
I always find your videos so inspiring - immediately want to go out and take some photos myself after watching. I recently upgraded to a Sony a7 ii and the 55mm would make the perfect addition - it seems like such a versatile lens. Looking forward to more of your portrait episodes, keep up the great work!
Yoooo this video was awesome! I first found you by Ryan and Gatsby! And love your content! Never had a prime before and would love to have this one! Trying to build more content and create like you and the other amazing content creators. Keep it up man
You are a huge inspiration of mine. Every episode gets better and better. Love the photoshoot in the staircase. You showed me with a few tools you can change the look completely. I would love to add the 55 f1.8 to my camera bag I mainly shoot with the Tamron 28-75.
Awesome video and obviously awesome photos...I love to see the behind the scenes of a beautiful photo like for the black sheet to dim the light for the last location...or the fake drone on Instagram reels. For the lens, if I'll be lucky, I will use for some shot of my little baby👶🏻 and dog🐶 (I only have a kit lense) and obviously some portrait but also experiment with it in all kind of photos. PS if you can do some other photo battle like the one with Itchban, it was funny and inspiring to do something like that with my friends.
Wow! a new flip to a well known place like the Yodobashi west. Never even thought to go inside the front building (or that you could do it) Awseome session
And it's live😊 even set my alarm for this, left half-cooked food on the stove..that can wait! Time to learn some new techniques now . . Yes, I commented before watching full video 😅
@@Kohki can't eat it cause haven't finished cooking it yet, alarm rang so I just turned off the oven and all😂🍲 I've had a photoshoot yesterday as well, using rgb & neons in a funfair (entertainment park).. But definitly learned more from your shots in this video 🙏 . . Would love to take part in the giveaway, but can't as my insta is not active yet, will prob go active sometime next week. Anyways, best of luck to everyone taking part in the giveaway 🤞 🍀 and hats off to you for this great intention/opportunity 👏
this is the kind of photography video I need, especially in the best city Tokyo, well done Kohki! I love how you actually showed how hyped you were with the final location, the whole prep work was totally worth it, I'm so damn impressed of how you managed to squeeze in 3 locations in a day, knowing the fact that Ikebukuro ain't that near from Shinjuku! glad you made it in time for exact timing you wanted to shot to be! you got me hyped for sure, and SUPER SUPER INSPIRED! Thank you again, Kohki-san!
Thank you so much! Well I couldn't sleep much because of how nervous I was about this spot. If I didn't get it, it would have just ended with some "meh" photos in Shinjuku LOL Yeah, I usually make sure I have more than enough time everywhere, specially since I need to shoot video as well. Im glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for all the support!
Amazing videos! Just found your channel recently and the quality of content is top tier! The lens will definitely help build my arsenal as I am just getting into photography.
I recently began filming tiktok videos and have been into photography for 6 years now. All of which really started back when I visited Tokyo, the most photogenic city in the world IMO. I recently lost my job and am hoping to go all in on my hobby and see where it can take me. Having a F1.8 lens would be significant help in my art style and the types of photos and videos I can make as all my current lenses are f4 and up.
Great Video Kohki, amazing work you're doing, I've been mostly doing wide landscape shots and have been trying to get into portrait shooting for a while, this would be the perfect lens to start me off
Absolutely loving the portrait series! And your videos have been super helpful as I’ve been learning photography 🙏 Photography has been a real blessing for the last year, keeping my head clear helping me through my divorce. Your portrait series has been inspiring me to push through my fears and actually try my hand at photographing people. The 55mm Zeiss would be a huge help in moving my photography towards portraits. Huge thanks for inspiring
I’d love to have this lens because due to Covid I had to end up selling most of my gear and haven’t been able to put any money into getting camera gear again until recently, and I’ve tried the 55mm before and it was hands down one of my favorite lenses i’ve used to date
Been following since pandemic began and always love everything you put out. 1.8 just adds another dimension to portraits but sometimes your vision is more unique than any lens you can put on your camera.
Your videos inspire me to think about every little thing when taking photos like getting paper to cover the lights. I would like the 55 Sony Zeiss because I dont have a lens between 20mm to 70mm lol
Very inspiring dude, love the fact that you controlled the environment and made it your own. Even bonus when you're happy with the end result of everything you planned in your head for so long!
Really enjoyed this one. Amazing model and the way you transformed that bland stairwell to create some of the coolest portraits I’ve ever seen was truly impressive! Way to keep challenging yourself!
Great video Kohki! My experience shooting portraits is quite small so any tips and ideas from others definetly are a big help! I personally am looking to downsize my gear for travel and sneakier shooting. The 55mm would be a lovely addition to the collection.
Love this series! That last location was amazing and loved how you guys transformed that whole place to get the look u wanted! Thank you for showing us these spots and hopefully we get to visit Japan this year!
Thank you! haha I am working on something but I have so much cool ideas planned for RU-vid I haven't had the time to focus on the new preset pack 😅 Thanks for all the support!
Finally caught up and watched all the videos on your channel! Just want to say you are one of my main inspiration for starting photography. Bought my first camera at the start of the year and have not once regretted my purchase. Thank you for the great content! Also, I would love to watch a video of your backpack set-up. Really interested in your POV camera mounting situation but a whole whats in my backpack style video would be great too! Thank you!
Amazing video as always! I always love your use of the Black Pro Mist filter and with Japans bright neon lights its the perfect vibe. Just switched to Sony and this lens would be perfect in my arsenal! Thank you Kohki for this opportunity and video :)
I love th e images you created in Tokyo. Can't wait to see for the next episode!! I would love to add the Zeiss 55 f/1.8 because It such a light and sharp lens that you can take anywhere.
