Scotland has to be one of the most stunning countries in the world. My homeland, where because of medical issue's I'll never be able to return. I found you on RU-vid about a month ago and I've watched all your movies. Thank you for sharing your journey. Thanks to you I've now seen parts of Scotland that i would never have seen before. I have a little 15yr old grandson who was diagnosed with depression two years ago. He loves his solitude. It's were he gets his energy from. I think he'd thrive in this sport. He also loves the water. Take care, stay safe and i look forward to more of your movies.

Just lovely thanks. I have done the kayak in the other direction from Carsaig to Uisken and had the company of two porpoises for a while. Welcome companions when you are solo on a lively sea.

My Families and I's favourite place to spend our Summer Holiday. I have paddled some of the coastline your paddling, but on my Sit on Top. This year I brought my Touring Kayak, but didn't go as far as it was nowhere near as stable compared to the Sit on top. I did have a go at Surfing at one of the beaches down from Uisken, Lilvickeon Beach with a friend. Looking forward to returning again next Summer. I was going to go down the route of buying a Canoe, but paddling on that coastline and looking across to Colonsay and Jara and thinking I would like to paddle over. I was told that to do that I would need a proper Kayak. So that changed my buying option. Joined a Club and I am currently working on improving my skill level and having to get camping gear again as we changed from a tent to a Motorhome. Lovely to see it again from an others point of view. Only recently found your channel and subscribed. Having your How to pack a Kayak video form your year long trip then watched a few more of your videos.

Richard Koehler,a chap I was at school with recently paddled solo on a kayak from Cape Town to São Paulo……a trip that you would appreciate….just being out at sea and at peace…thanks for the channel

Close to rocks I usually wear a helmet. It’s part of the culture where I paddle. I know not so much in the UK. Even the lightest swell and buried rocks can sometimes conspire to cause a dangerous situation on a sunny, windless day.Imagine if you had capsized and hit your noggin’! It’s like a seat belt, you very rarely need it but when you do you need it badly and instantly! There are very comfortable helmets these days. Just food for thought from a fellow solo paddler.

Great to see you back on the water Nick and what a beautiful advertisement for Scottish sea kayaking, although that reef break had me shouting "OH NO" at the top of my voice 😂 The wrecked pier is evidence to the sheer power of nature. I enjoyed watching the trip unfold. Thanks for sharing.
