@Parking_lot182 yeah it's like Architects did with their last album. Almost all the singles were pretty heavy. Then the album comes out and the singles are the only heavy songs on the album lol. Almost every band does this as they age though so I guess it is what it is. I've been a die hard Slipknot fan since 2000 so I know how it feels when your favorite band releases an album and all you can think is "what the actual fuck is this?!" Lol.

This song is about being an ICU Nurse who is unhappy with their job. You may think he says "I SEE YOU" at the beginning. But he's actually saying ICU as in Intensive Care Unit. Then the whole "You're not dead, just dead to me" "Twist the blade....wound that never heals" stuff.

I guess on my end, I’m not gonna write them off over an album that I don’t care for when it comes to half of it. Semi-related, It makes me appreciate what they gave us up to this point, and I’m just glad they’re still making music in general. They’ve more than done their job to satisfy my music needs over the years, and as much as I love every other album, I’d still give my left nut for common courtesy, cuz that got me through some rough shit, and at least to me, it’s the very definition of a perfect album, start to finish.
