I was on the train back with you guys! Ron Newman was too, but he sat in a different car. I'm in the green shirt and cap behind you guys at 12:15. I do agree, it should run more frequently. Apparently it's the Army Corps of Engineers who are putting the kibosh on it though, they control the Railroad Bridge and don't want to foul it with more lowerings than they have to.
@@BostonByRails All those tracks see is MC trash train and the Scenic trains. They did add new Ballasts this year and have update the Crossings over the past number of years. Hi speed it’ll never be but for “Ole Cape Cod”, it fits the Charm and Character. Great job
Great video! I really enjoyed this kind of video! Did you notice at 11:45 they stuck a fake cape cod license plate to the front of 2000? Also I was wondering when this was filmed?
Like the format! I've been wanting to try the Flyer but sadly you guys reinforced what I already was afraid of - expensive, slow, infrequent, and with terrible car-free connections in Hyannis. So it's a no-go for me. But hey, it exists. And that counts for something!
I agree, I keep wondering whether I should ride the CapeFlyer once, but I'm not sure. I DID however record a railfanning video only Yesterday that showed the CapeFlyer going through a RailRoad Crossing in Braintree MA on it's way to Hyannis. So it was really nice to see it up close.
Wow I didn't know that the car you were in was refurbished. I know at one time they did have a First Class Car with (Extra Services of Course) but it is now gone so this must be the former car. Thanks for videoing it - I never knew it was on the train.
I was there too, 2 cars up on the outbound trip. I saw Petru’s tweets and thought about saying hello but I didn’t want to bug you guys. I ended up taking a bus back to Boston just for time purposes
"its so loud" well that's what you can expect in North/south station XD. but I have to admit I can agree that they are very loud, but after a while you get use to it. But other then that great vlog!
@@BostonByRails OK my wife I took the Flyer late last year and as we went by I was rather taken back by all the MBTA equipment. Is this only such facility on the system?
