Interesting! I will say I was up in Sligo in the winter a few years back and it was remarkably green too, but perhaps being on the ocean keeps it greener

@@asenseoftravelI am from sligo most of the land is green but much of it is bogland particularly near mayo.Generally land adjoining the sea is fairly fertile since the locals have been making compost from sea weed for thousands of years and also more recently bogland has been reclaimed by drainage removing its acidity and allowing organic matter to break down and release nutrients.That said the land is not as good as kilkenny where i spend a good bit of time aswell

Not really. Everything expensive and house prices beyond the reach of most. Rents also very expensive.
