That is a really well organized and managed farm. The cows and other animals, I saw ducks look healthy. It must be raining, I see the lush greenery.

I really like seeing the Inyambo, which I believe is the word for cow in Burundi. The are actually the same species of domesticated cows that once were in Egypt, related to the Kuri and N'Dama in the Chad and West Africa.

in Kirundi the word cow is : Inka . Just like the same in Kinyarwanda : Inka.

These cattle are popularly known as Ankole/Watusi and are found in Uganda, eastern Congo, Rwanda and Burundi

You are a bit mislead. If you look at the etymology of the word Watusi with the prefix "wa" meaning of you can clearly see the linkage with Rwanda. Also the Kingdom of Rwanda included part of Eastern Congo, and Southwest Uganda, as well as Burundi. The cattle are from that kingdom. But the key to breeding Inyambo is something passed through generations. The Ankole cattle were derived from Inyambo, but are not the same.

Cows have always been an indication of wealth and good life because we grew up on their milk, their meat and their dung is used to fertilize the soil to grow crops so cows are crucial to our lives. Cows are also used as bride price (dowry)

Cows have been part of the traditional life of Rwandans from way way back. They are a source of food and income to Rwandese. Cows provide milk and beef to families. Back then, the would use the cow skin to make clothes and traditional wear. They play a huge role in the life if Rwandans. Thanks

In the Ankole culture we gift each cows to create a long lasting friendship. If we are really good friends , i gift u a female cow and when it gives birth, u give me the first calf and like that the gifting continues and so does the friendship. Bytheway both sexes can gift.
