5G deployments are moving to software centric architectures to support the different requirements. Open RAN alliance is defining the architecture for these network deployments. In this talk, EdgeQ's Head of Systems Engineering, Sriram Rajagopal, covers the Low Level Split (LLS) architecture for the Physical layer-starting with the eCPRI protocol, the different data sections, the components of C-plane and U-plane messaging, different beamforming types, and concluding with different delay management model.
