A Deep Dive Into Pluto: Evolution, Transformation & Power w/ Rick Levine 

I have lived through Pluto transiting over all of my personal planets and Saturn and Neptune and I am still here. There has been quite a bit of upheaval yet I no longer fear any transit.

As someone whose chart has a powerful, intense Pluto signature, who's had near-death experiences, and who's worked as a hospice and trauma counsellor, I'd say the only possible response to Pluto is surrender. Surrendering requires an ability to trust the process. We do this in many exquisite responses to life, from experiencing orgasm to navigating each and every interchange with the rest of creation. Working through our blocks to trust (i.e. our various fears) is the key to resilience. When we can trust, we can grow strong through our connection with all that is, build life-giving communities and grow wings. As the Course in Miracles phrased it "In my defenselessness lies my strength". How do we become defenseless? We trust.

I had Pluto cross over my moon in Sag from 95-08, and there were a TON of changes. Became a Mom of 2, my Mom passed away, was really sick myself but recovered, my Mom was really sick and didn't recover, bought and sold 2 houses, changed jobs 5 times. Wow Rick wasn't kidding when he said it brings emotional and major life changes.

There are quite a few of us boomers that are living through the natal Jupiter being opposed by transiting Pluto. It’s an opportunity for us to lean into kindness and community as this lap closes for us. Our best work can still happen.

I have Pluto in Libra 20 degree. Im a Taurus/Aris cusp (April 23rd) Aries rising. I hardly recognize myself lately. It’s been rough but I’m on the other side of it all. Now…I’m processing how I want to show up and what I truly need. Also, my tolerance for others BS energy and them not owning it simply isn’t there anymore.

Just had Pluto through my twelth house. It’s gone through there and squared my Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, and natal Pluto. The only one transit I’ve not had is now pluto on my ascendant. But after having pluto transit every single one of my natal planets, I’m not afraid.

Pluto was 20.49 in Leo when I was born 70 years ago this year. Servived the grim reaper 😊🙏❤🐂

I am a survivor of transiting Pluto being conjunct my natal Sun at 24 24 Capricorn which is cazimi my natal Jupiter at 24 38 Capricorn in the 11th house using whole sign houses and Placidus. I can wholeheartedly concur with and personally testify to what Rick speaks of in this video. I am a Plutonian person by nature which is reflected in my natal chart with my Moon at 2 52 Scorpio in an applying conjunction to Pluto at 4 36 in the 8th using Placidus and in the 9th using whole sign houses. My natal Moon is interestingly enough at the same degree as my mother's natal Neptune at 2 21 Scorpio. (My mother was a 13 16 Pisces Sun with Neptune in an out of sign conjunction with her ascendant at 28 36 Libra.) She was a paranoid schizophrenic. Her natal Mercury was at the anaretic degree of Aquarius at 29 22. My father's Saturn was right in the middle of my Moon and Pluto conjunction at 3 30 Scorpio. I could go on for awhile about the family patterns and synastry but I won't here. Both of my parents passed away in 2018 and my paternal grandfather in 2019. My Daddy passed away on Valentine's Day prior to an eclipse and my mother on August 6th which was my wedding anniversary. When my mother passed away transiting Neptune was conjunct my 12 23 Pisces ascendant and therefore also conjunct my natal Venus at 11 16 and Mars at 15 31 Pisces on the day my mother passed away. Since my Mother was a Pisces Sun I found that to be significant since Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces. In 2019 I lost my job and my home the same day. This happened 2 years in a row in 2019 and 2020 on the day of the full Moon in Scorpio which is usually in May. In 2020 I got into an argument with my now ex husband and then later that se day his mother and sister as well... In 2020 I had my Jupiter Return with Pluto conjunct it and in my solar return that year Pluto and Jupiter were conjunct the Sun. 2020 was a hell of a year I must say. My progressed Sun moved from Aquarius to Pisces as well as my progressed Moon and Mercury. I totaled my car (Totally my fault. I looked down at my gps for a visual of where I was supposed to turn) while in another state. I rented a room from a woman who stole over 1300 dollars worth of my money which may not be much to some people but it really pissed me off and the b*tch kept more than that in my belongings. She called the police on me after I admittedly slung her around her bedroom after I confronted her about stealing from me. I do have Mars at 15 31 Pisces conjunct the ascendant and it is square Uranus in Sagittarius at 16 6 which is conjunct my MC at 19 23. I didn't go to jail thankfully. I try not to resort to physical violence but sometimes people push you to far. In general I don't stand up for myself enough or make my boundaries clear until I have had enough of people trampling all over them. When i get to that point my anger can be rather spectacular but I digress. Pluto stripped me down to my very essence. How I used to define myself was completely and utterly changed. For example I used to define myself to some degree by my job which is/was being waitress. That was gone the day I got into an argument with my boss and landlord after work and he told me to find another job and another place to live. This was after I realized that I had been sexually harassed by him for years and I confronted him about it. I had become desensitized to sexual harassment I realized after reading an article about it in a magazine. I worked as a bartender for 8 years and I heard all kinds of things and I got to the point where I didnt think anything of a man/customer asking me to see my boobs. I would just tell them no and go on about my business. I read the article on sexual harassment while I was out of work for 2 months in 2018 prior to and after having had an exploratory laparotomy where I had a tumor removed which weighed over 5 pounds at 2402 grams after having 2.1 liters of fluid drained from it. It was like being 28 weeks pregnant but with no baby. It was a mucinous borderline tumor so thankfully I didn't have to have chemo or radiation. I confronted my inevitable death at that time. I was 33 years old. I reckoned if I had a tumor that big and it was cancerous then I was a dead woman walking anyway. They removed my left ovary and both fallopian tubes. Even me being a mother was taken away from me for a time due to me being homeless. I have slept in my car in Walmart parking lots and rented people's showers for a pack of cigarettes. I have taken showers in the rain coming off of a house. I got divorced during this time. He tried to drag me through the mud and actually accused me of what he was doing. I haven't lived anywhere until this past year for longer than 7 months and at times I have stayed somewhere for less than a month. I have seen depravity but I have also seen some of the most beautiful places and spaces and acts of kindness. I have been in places and seen things I never thought I would see or would want to see in my life. I have had many difficult experiences but I'm still here and I'm still making it. Everything hasnt been resolved as of yet and who knows when it will be with transiting Pluto about to square my natal Moon/Pluto in Scorpio. I would continue this diatribe but I have to head in to work now so... Thank you to the totally freaking awesome Rick Merlin Levine. You are bad*ss!!! Philosophy taken to a higher level by teaching our children’s’ children that our bodies needs are directly engaged with what our karma’s needs are tied into. We get born again physically and we learn to overcome our karmas by doing what our eternal bodies need. We have eternal bodies if we choose to have them.

You know what i have my sun and mercury at 29 °cap in the 11th house. My nodes are 29° cap and 29° cancer. I just wish I could have gone through everything I have to go through, younger than I am now and I really mean it. Im not in a good place, and I'm really trying not to be afraid. Saturn is also square my moon in sag . Mars just crossed my uranus 4° virgo my wallet went missing that day with everything I earned. Yeah like I'm looking up screaming STOP IT!! disappointment and grieving, exhausted but I will never give up i may die before I become a quitter . Watch out for your health for those of us going through such melifec transits. Breath 🙏 make time for yourself, private time to rest your mind and body and especially keep positive thoughts.Staying positive i believe is most important

Struggles are always a blessing in the opportunity to release past karma (activity), and priveleges are always an opportunity to lose ourselves. The turning of the great wheels is a consequence of the unwinding of the threads we've woven between ourselves.

I have had Pluto transiting since 1985 over my Scorpio ascendant then my Sagittarius moon, Venus and Saturn, and finally over my Capricorn, sun 7 and mercury at 26° so Grateful it’s almost over and hoping I don’t live long enough to see Pluto in opposition to my natal Pluto in 0°Virgo. I just love listening to Merlin's voice. It is wonderful to hear his take on the hard life/easy life and karma concept, and I couldn't agree more. I think when we have obtacles to overcome, we are being taught the last lessons before slipping away or at least in my case it seems like. Some of the most exciting things also happened to me while suffering the most. When one is leading an "easy" life if there is such a thing, they are in the beginning of a cycle, and like babies there is not much they are able to take on yet.

I am a Capricorn with a Sagittarius rising I’ve gone through Pluto hitting my rising sign, and now I’m on the end of Pluto, going through sun sign…. seven retrograde planets at my birth. You couldn’t pay me enough to live my life over again just saying.

The nodes are currently in the same signs as houses as my natal chart.

Many transits 12h pluto native, its passed neptune south node, oppo venus moon mars jupiter and now sun. Mostly I retreat in the face of an unduly harsh world but learn inexpressible truths. I've become very good at pulling others away from their own hells

Succesful transformations depend on the quality input. I wish it would be as easy as ‘on that date your transformation is complete’. It would be like going to school, checking into to class, ignoring the teacher while expecting to have learned something when class is over. We need to learn to become aware and from that the magic can start happening 💫

Thank you for sharing these insights into Pluto. I have had Pluto pass over my rising second and third house where it is completing in the next three or four years. In the first is Scorpio with Chiron conjunct the south node, in the second Sagittarius is Jupiter and my moon, the third Sun conjunct mercury. My life has been in a wonderful upheaval, natal is conjunct Saturn in Leo. Pluto has been more of a guiding light in the dark, never felt that it was working against me instead my light in the dark. My soul has embraced the many changes and I feel more free. It is a challenge that I have embraced and gone through. Many blessings to everyone!

I fully agree with Rick's suggestions (on handling the Plutonic effects/changes) which is very much that "Uranus in Taurus" transit--kindness and compassion (Taurus qualities), and doing anything "grounding". So basically we're grounding (Taurus) the electricity of change (Uranus). And by being grounded, we actually face our fears. This is a very Buddhist practice: Buddha's enlightenment involved confronting Mara and his children of illusions and fears. I'd like to add that there is no need to be anxious about the future because we are quantum (Uranus) and so the past and the future is the present. Being grounded = practicing "presence", embodying the present.

Perfect timing for this, my Capricorn/Aquarius cusp is in my 2nd house & I have been reviewing my values in preparation for my 3rd Lunar Node Return which happens when we reach O degrees Aries in 2025. Had I not begun doing work with these outer generational planets (right after my Chiron Return I have Chiron at 1 degree Aries & conjunct that Aries Lunar Node, so that was a few years ago) I would have found this shocking, but now I'm kind of into it despite the chaos people around me seem to be experiencing (blind-sided). There are a lot of big transits in your 50s but having studied astrology, you can find the upside of the harder transits before they happen to you.

This Pluto explanation is accurate!! Pluto in my 7th house opposite my cancer sun: my marriage became goo and disintegrated and I emerged with a tighter bond with my kids and a Master’s Degree. Pluto is sitting on my ex’s NN currently & transited his 5th house: he’s completely disintegrated his relationship with our kids.. He’s an ex 11year NFL veteran and completely floundering. No prisoners! I’m anticipating Pluto entering my 8th house 😳. Plzzzzz, keep these sessions coming!

My daughter is also Cap rising and she is non verbal with special needs born in Feb 09 soon after Pluto entered her first house. Ah, yes. My natal Pluto is in my twelfth house. Pluto has crossed my Virgo ascendant, my Moon and Sun, Saturn, as well as Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus. I do feel I'm the only one who hasn't followed my family's religious script, but I'm not sure this has anything to do with it. Probably, partially because Pluto is in my twelfth, which means I've gone through several changes in my life. I'm 66.

Thank you! All my life has been about learning to accept all changes as transforming into something totally new.... sometimes terribly hard, sometimes easier, into a better way of living. Slowing down and letting go of many indoctrinating things, also cutting out stress in many spaces of my life, already 20 yrs ago, and had a huge opening of spirituality around the same time, for years forward. To be able to change we have to know ourself and our fears, acknowledge them and steadily walking into courage. Gets easier with acceptance of, and maturing from inside, instead of the opposite. I was born with Pluto Venus exact conjunction libra…12th house. Pluto moved over my Scorpio Mercury and then Scorpio ascendant , then over my less than a degree sun/Uranus conjunction(1sthouse)…. Then made it’s way over my Neptune and mars( in Sagittarius) ……ill Complete it with moon if I live another 44 years and make it to age 86😋 It’s been one death after another on so many levels, literally as well as figuratively. My 17 year old sun has Pluto hanging out right before his 2 degree Aquarius descendent, and then his Chiron-mercury-sun-moon-Neptune-stellium conjunction will be hit one after another as Pluto loves thru Aquarius… opposing his Leo Saturn in 1st. Part of me shrinks in nervousness at what may lay ahead for him, but having come thru it all myself I know it’s a deep powerful initiation at young age. Wonderful interview, thank you both!

Ok Rick! I actually agree and the 2024 Eclipse is setting it all into play. The Eclipse crossing over the US in opposite direction of the 2017 Eclipse, forming an X in Cairo in 2024 and the Pluto Return make a WHOLE lot of sense to me now.....Much Gratitude
